My wonderful mum died 4 years ago, the day before Mothers Day, aged just 59 from breast cancer, and so going round the shops today getting a card for myMIL was hard.
So just wanted to say to really appreciate your mum while you have her, as you nevr know whats around the corner....... xxx
Mine is still with us in body, sadly her mind has gone - but I'm still glad she's with us. Dad died in 1979, not a day passes when I don't think of him, and what he's missed, 3 grandchildren, 3 beautiful great granddaughters he'd have been thrilled. Mum doesn't really remember him nowadays
Unfortunately, although still alive, some of our mums don't deserve the sentiment of Mother's Day. Mother's Day being thrust in your face is equally as hard.
My Mum died in 1971, much too young [only 36].I would have loved her to share the birth of my daughter and 4 grandchildren. There will always be part of me missing. I wish other people appreciated their mothers while they had the
chance but life's circumstances don't always allow this. I've learnt from friends.
