Scarlet Fever Outbreak.

My six year old grandson has been diagnosed with it. Started off with sore throat and bright red face then rash/spots. Seems strange with this sudden outbreak. It used to be dangerous about 100+years ago but no now. Is there an outbreak with children where you live?

not at the moment as far as i know, but when my daughter was in nursery last year there was. By the way, it still can be dangerous

My grandson is being treated with pencilling. By the way, I had it when I was 12, doctor wasn't too worried at all. I'm sure he didn't give me pencilling. Once you've had it, you're supposed to build up an immunity to it. I hope so, he spent last weekend with us and I was kissing him and cuddling him....
