Have you been anywhere nice today?

We have been to Newstead Abbey in Notts, a really lovely place, peaceful walks round the lake and parkland, looked at the herbaceous borders and formal gardens. Only costs £6 per car including all passsengers - such brilliant value! Had a tasty lunch in the courtyard cafe. A really nice day ..................... a little treat of a day out while the weather lasts!
Have you been anywhere in the sunshine today? Commiserations to those at work! I worked for 41 years and now I love being retired.

No idea where the the cat comes from but it insisted on sitting on my lap whilst I was trying to read. Looks well fed and healthy, just wanting lots of attention. Wound itself around my legs when I went back to weeding. Gave up!
We went to Wimpole House a National Trust property just South West of Cambridge. Lovely buildings, formal and walled gardens, large amount of open parkland for picnics etc.
Used the restaurant which only uses produce grown on the estate for lunch.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and the traffic was not too bad.
