Started a new one after the spelling mistake in the header yesterday. Blank drawn yesterday so can only get better. Some good racing today, but a couple of large fields make it even harder to choose. Good luck if you have a go.

Elegant Escape @4/1 2.50

You've got 2 of mine there, Togo. Wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing given our recent run:-/ When the stats lead you to some of the more fancied horses, it sort of fills you with confidence. However, when they lead you to the 'rags', the opposite is true. If you are a true stats afficianado (sometimes known as a 'mug punter'), you adhere to them, come what may. So;

1.45 Ain; Eamon An Croic @ 14/1 (5 places)
2.20 Ain; Style De Garde @ 10/1
2.50 Ain; Elegant Escape @ 4/1
4.40 Ain; Chef Des Obleaux @ 9/1 (Rev f/c with Uppertown Prince)

Win singles, 20p lucky 15, 50p e.w. acca. 4 placed = approx £50, 4 winners = approx £6,712

Also done e.w. singles on;

4.05 Ain; Deauville Dancer @ 80/1 (5 places) - 365
5.15 Ain; Al Dancer @ 33/1 - Sky

And, purely because they have similar names, a little e.w. double with 365 @ 80s and 25s.

To finish (haha), a JP/PP at Aintree; 14-14-4-4-16-2

Best of luck, Togo, and any other punters.
Correction; The first horse is priced on 4 places, not 5. If i'd opted for 5 places, the price would have been 12/1.
Any tips for the big race tomorrow, Togo?
Going for these today
1.45 Zubayr
2.20 Vision Des Flos
2.50 Coo Star Sivola
3.25 Balko Des Flo
4.05 Kilcrea Vale
4.40 Roksana

Good luck all
Here's mine, ellie: Baie Des Iles at 16/1 Runs well on soft ground....
Thank you good goalie.

Will post my choice tomorrow Ellie......but given my recent results you may want to give it a miss. I posted yesterday that I had been watching the grey(almost white) horse ridden by Katie Walsh and trained by her husband. Baie Des Iles. But the 50s and above have been snapped up by the "housewife" punters and it is now at 16s so I have hesitated. Will be posting tomorrow anyway. Good luck Ken and Panky, we seem to have chosen one or two that coincide between us.
Question Author
Snap..... Posted that yesterday Goalie, in response to another Aber.
Being a dedicated follower of the stats, i couldn't back Baie Des Iles with stolen money!! And not because a lady rider is on top - she is definitely on a par with most male jockeys - and would become the first of her gender to win it. It's because no 7 year old has won the race in my lifetime. That's just one stat i cannot go against. Cue Katie Walsh booting the horse home from the elbow:-/

I know what you say Ken.........but you know how the National tends to throw out a fairytale story now and again....Lady rider, trained by husband, lovely grey, youngest horse for decades.........all there.
I will be backing Gordon elliot horses ..will get a run for your money top trainer
^
Almost as unbelievable as a Corrie plot line:-)
just told my brother the horses I bet on he laughed and said picked a few donkeys there lol
Gonna be very heavy going so there goes the form out of the window
^
What about horses who have form on very heavy going, volty?

A couple that spring to mind are Houblon Des Obeaux and Final Nudge.
Thx ken I'll have a look at those two...but you know what I mean
Just that i've been studying and have picked out 4 (the other 2 being Seeyouatmidnight and I Just Know) and have decided to wait for the official going before i choose my main one. The others will have a few quid e.w. on them. If it does come up bottomless, one of the two mud-lovers will be my main pick. I'm due the winner of this as the last time i got it right was 2013 with Ballabriggs!!
Question Author
There are a couple of runners that I have had success with this term running. Chase The Spud, and Pleasant Company. But as you are saying I will use my sharp pencil tomorrow to make the final decision.
Looks like I need to cover my last 3 today:((
