They won’t kill you, but don’t make a habit of it.
Plenty of people around the world seem happy to eat insects.

Was making a tuna pasta bake and I could see some in the flour. Poured it out into a bowl and used the flour at top which was at the bottom of the bag. Didn't look like there were any there but just in case.......!
Absolutely fine! Carry on... :-)
It'd put me off eating it, but I doubt they'd cause any real issue if you didn't let on.

Cheers :o)

Cheese sauce done and now in oven so if there was any, they'd be dead as a Dodo. Extra protein I guess.
Very odd that a bag of flour if left for while produces these critters, seemingly out of no9where.
Weird ??
I can't cotton on to the notion that you would want to ingest weevils.
If the flour is out of date then that is can happen to it. This tells you how to deal with them.

Just been reading about them. Harmless unless you're scoffing them by the bucketful. Quite shy creatures, too. Aw, bless :-))
Tigger; if you see any wormlike creatures sliding up and down the wall where you keep your food, you may be infested with them. Otherwise, they were probably just in the flour.
Question Author
I had them in some flour over 6 months ago and got rid of everything and cleaned area. I wanted to make the bake so it could feed the 2 of us over the next few days and also as going out to buy a new bag of flour is pretty much impossible at present.

Hope both weevils and their offspring are well and truly dead with the cooking process. Will throw the rest of the flour away :o)
Weevils wobble wobble, but they don't fall down.
When you buy flour, it already has eggs in side it. Yep, they catch!

Four has a cell by date and a use by. Follow that guidance.
Question Author
Oh noooooooo - use by date is 2018.

Do I throw the whole pasta bake out now??
Probably...
Actually, if they've been in the oven they'll have died. It will be sanitary to eat.
Just a bit of extra protein during these hard times :D
