One of my daughters should have had a baby 2 days ago but it's obviously quite happy where he/she is.
For several reasons we would love the baby to be born tomorrow but my suggestion of letting a banger off behind her doesn't seem to be the right thing to do!!
Do you have any suggestions that are more feasible than mine?

My midwife friends recommend a sh@g and a curry......doubt there's any truth in it but at least the mother to be has had a good evening!
a very hot bath?

it worked for someone i knew years ago.
lol Eccles, before I saw your answer I was going to suggest a curry followed by sex. I suggested this when my first goddaughter was born. Then I suggested a good brisk walk up the hill behind the house. Then she had to be induced........

Well I think she probably had a curry last night as she brought the left over Naan bread round.
Not sure I feel very comfortable phoning my daughter and telling her to go and have a good sh@g :-) Although she might be shocked to hear me say that and the shock might start her off.
I was two weeks overdue with one of mine, had an appointment to be induced on the Tuesday, but on the sunday had a nice long walk in the morning and then sex in the afternoon - he was born just before midnight!
whenever it happens ....
please pass on my congratulations to her.
Go for it Miss Prim. Just think of the stories......you couldn't tell......
my friend gave herself a sweep. *shudder*
Yep, a good bonk should sort that out.
Someone will be along with a besom now bednobs lol
What the hell is a ''sweep'' ?
My OH was a Midwife for 30+ yrs, she reckons Eccles idea is OK, and agrees with the 'good evening' bit.

The midwife offered her a sweep on Tuesday and I had visions of someone with a broom like a chimney sweep uses!
Have just phoned her and made the suggestion of a sh@g and yes she was shocked and said 'I can't believe you just said that!'
So watch this space!

Just looked up besom Mamya and it brought tears to my eyes :-)
Tony, leave it hun.
Fingers crossed for you and yours Miss Prim.

If nothing else you've made her laugh.
Well I can't either ( not with a name like missprim ) lol.
Okey dokey, mamya ( anything for you ).
get gness to visit your daughter.

The baby will be out of her nest so quick that she would be classified as being born yesterday.
missprim.....no! no! no!...the midwife doesn't have the sh@g, your daughter does......
