Beso, what an odd thing to say. You can hardly nit pick with individual breakaway groups, nor claim I am incorrect because you personally don't consider the CofE to be a protestant church. That's just silly. A quick look at the history of this country will tell you it is. If it wasn't protestant it would still be Roman Catholic! The vast majority of Christians believe in the Holy Trinity - and that's a fact.
I'm therefore half a Muslim and half Methodist as (i) I have the same god in boith and (ii) as I don't support the Trinity.

Oh I forget, my water spout is circumcised so I must be a tad Jewish as well. And mean with my money.....
Muslims get the chop too, DT, so to simplify things you could really dispense with the claim to Judaism. ;o)
they aren't as mean with their money, naomi, except the Kuwaitis - they get nicknamed by the Saudis as 'the Jews of the Gulf' - so I'll keep that little bit!

lol
DT, in my experience that's a fallacy. None of my Jewish friends are mean. Quite the opposite in fact. And as for the Saudis ridiculing the Kuwaitis, that sort of thing happens the world over and should always be taken with a large pinch of salt and viewed with a generous helping of good humour. The English/Irish, French/Belgians, Spanish/Italians, and so on and so on. ;o)
Agree with naomi - same as all Scots aren't tightwads.
i am pulling your leg!!!! I was married to a jew for 18 years so have some insights there and to the positive side of their beliefs too.
Ahh. Right.
toda, naomi......
naomi, beso's post isn't just odd, its actually incorrect!
Woofgang, I just found it odd that someone as interested in religion as he is should think that. What a funny thing to say - and I don't mean funny ha ha.
I thought it was quite strange...so obviously wrong and so easily disproved.
ironic, ain't it.....infidel being a word coined by the Spanish to describe anyone who was not a (Catholic) Christian.
Mosaic, actually I believe in Islam the Arabic word 'Kafir' is more appropriate to describe the unbeliever. It translates as 'infidel', derived from the Latin 'infidelis', but you are absolutely right in saying that Christians have also historically referred to unbelievers as 'infidels.
yet another claymore thread ..... with no comeback. yawn, zzzzzzzzz.

Fair enough. I stand corrected.

Note though that the Trinity is nowhere mentioned in the Bible but like the vast majority of the doctrine is inferred by those who interpret the Bible.

However I do stand by the notion that the CofE is a branch of the Catholic church and is not a true Protestant religion. Real Protestants dispute the opulence and indulgences of the Catholic church.

All Henry did was to place himself in the position of the Pope and continue with the same indulgence and rhetoric.

BTW. I am not actually as interested in religion as some have assumed. I am not inclined to waste my time on such rubbish.
