Christians believe that God is the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Ghost) and Muslims don't. Fundamentally it is the same God though.
I will agree with what Naomi said. Muslims believe that it was one and only same God who sent all of the messengers with exactly the same message that worship ONLY ONE GOD. But Jews decided not to believe in Jesus (pbuh) as messenger and later same about Muhammad (pbuh). Christians believed in Moses (pbuh) as they had no choice but then added Trinity into the teachings of Jesus.

Now to answer your question I would say only that word "infidel" means the one who does not believe. In Arabic the word used is "Kaafir". Although if you check the dictionary then this word infidel is used in reference to all of the religions. Christians believe that Muslims are infidels only because they do not believe Jesus to be God or Son of God. In simple words it means the one who does not believe. And that is the truth as if someone does not believe then what else would you call him?
Now finally the question is who is right and who is wrong. Someone just has to read their own religious scriptures and read carefully and answers are there.

There is a Jewish sect which does believe in Jesus as the Messiah, but they are regarded as heretics by most other Jews.
Well, we all have our cross to bear.
Excuse my ignorance, but if Jews belive in Jesus, are they still Jews? If so what makes a Jew a Jew?
They are "racially" jews.

Mind you there are enough people in this country who've not been in a church since they were born, don't pray or believe in God yet still write "CofE" on any form!
Early Jewish converts to Christianity never thought of themselves as anything else but Jewish.
Naomi's answer is incorrect. Only Catholics believe in The Holy Trinity. It is an idea they made up without a shred of Biblical evidence and it is firmly refuted by the Protestant churches.

The gods of Judaism and Islam are not the same. Prior to the rise of monotheism, Yhwe was a popular god among many in one part of the region. When Mohamed (PBUH) told his version of the same old boring fantasies he chose Allah, another old god from the region, to be his "One True God" because the Jews rejected his claim as a prophet.

All these god fetishes are nothing more than personal obsessions and delusions of grandeur by ordinary people gone mad. Today, such claims are rightly recognised as mental illnesses.
Genesis 16. God granted Abraham two sons, Ishmael & Isaac (step brothers) by different mothers. Ishmael is the muslim prophet & Isaac a jewish/christian prophet.

We're all brothers in faith.
God is who or what you want it to be. In my book it's how you live your life that matters, not slavish adherence to a faith that relies on the telling and retelling of events that may or may not have happened.
All brothers in faith? How ridiculous. You forget that half the population of the planet entirely reject the hideous God of Abraham.

But then what should we expect from the exquisite arrogance of Abraham's Minions and their One True God.
beso I was raised c of e (protestant) and part of that is belief in the creed which explicitly states belief in the three aspects of god.

The Church of England is actually a branch of the Catholic Church. Indeed some devotees speak of reunification. While often referred to as Protestant we must remember CofE was created by Henry VIII as a convenience to wrest power from the Vatican and allow him a divorce. Basically he cashed in on the Protestant movement of continental Europe.

True Protestant churches reject the Trinity because there is no evidence for it in the Bible. Funnily enough they don't all seem to the have the same problem with Hell which also has no Biblical reference. But that is another question.
So which churches in your mind are "true" Protestant ones?
None more so than Lutherans but also Methodist, Presbyterian and Baptist.

You won't find the Trinity in their teachings.

Surely the only true Protestant church is Ian Paisley's Free Presbyterians. They're right on every point and the rest of the world is wrong and destined for eternal hell fire.
