Blindfold and a pin?

Maybe they have all gone to heaven and left the rest off us to suffer Answerbank. A.K.A. Purgetry
just had a quick scout around Brionon...
There are christians about but they avoid questions that may be a little too complicated for them.
Ah well, we soldier on...............................
Wiz, there doesn't appear to be many members of the Cabal on here at all at the moment. Wonder what's happened to everyone?
strange isnt it naomi ?
maybe theyve all changed nics...
Naa Wizard, it turns out that the bees had the right faith and have been raptured not the Christians.
Good thread. Shame nobody has risen to it.

Always the same eh?
I pick and choose. I decide by using facts and science and with my heart and my head. Haven't been to church in years still read the bible in times of need. Are you just looking for a fight or do you have an opinion as it seems quite a leading question.
they definately pick and choose what bits they can be bothered with
I pick and choose, how I do that is my business and in no way affects you and yours.

Have I misunderstood or are you looking for guidance on acceptance or understanding of some or all of the Bible? If so, I am sure your local church can oblige with some Bible reading classes.

You can search for a local church here: http://www.findachurch.co.uk/home/home.php

Good luck.

Pick and choose - or how to delude yourself in one easy lesson.
My assumed delusion seems to have a profound effect on you.
What can you mean? Are you suffering from delusions again, Octavius?
Again? Surely according to you my whole life is a delusion and it is having detrimental effects real horror-shock on your elegant lifestyle.

I do so like your quirky without substance one-liners though, please continue, viddy well.
Why you think anything you do or believe has a 'profound' effect on me. This is a place of discussion, and I'm curious, yes, because I would like to find some rationality in the Christian belief, but you don't have any effect on my elegant lifestyle at all, least of all a 'profound' one.
I dunno, maybe I feel that you are following me around Answerbank rather a lot. Im not a shepherd.
That's called paranoia, not to be confused with delusion. I should see a doctor if I were you - and quick.
Hmm, you could be right. Perhaps I should go and see yours, will he help me see ghosts too?
Octavius, can't guarantee that, but it might broaden your outlook.
Question Author
Schreech, Mate, I would like to know --How do people decide which bits to believe and which to call Parable or to ignore. Surely if one's belief is based on one book there is an easy answer? All or None or How do you decide ?
I'd Really like to know.
Cheers, B.
