Let me guess,,,youre a vegan or vegetarian?
Nailit; when you said "Get used to it and make the most of it." I thought you were saying that I shouldn't care about the feelings of sub-human beings and that I should enjoy their benefits to me (i.e. eating them). I don't feel like that.
I'm vegetarian, not vegan. I'm not a fundamentalist and I'd not attack you or a meat raiser, but I do choose not to participate.
Reading back through the thread, Think we might have had a cross thread, Atheist.
Fully get your views on eating meat.
I was personally stating that life is short and no amount of belief in any deity(s) is going to change that so make the most of a very short life.
Whether ur a farm animal or an insect, (or Human) ur going to die and there isnt any god to save you. Its nature!
And I dont like it either, but thats the way it is...
I too choose not to get involved if I can help it, as I have done in the past.
The whole God scenario is the raw material for silly jokes, ridicule and anger.
A simple respectful discussion is fine by me.
I don't have all of the answers, and I doubt anybody else has either.
That means we all have gaps in our knowledge.
There. That is common ground.
Glad you're back, Theland. I hope you don't eat meat.
Oh yes I like small amounts of meat and fish but love veggies and fruit. Don't eat enough fruit but new year resolution, more fruit.
Good luck, Th...
While atheists reproach to religion, they revere science, some even claiming that it disproves the existence of God. But does it? In fact, can it? “one side is really going to win this argument, and the other side is really going to lose.”

Which side do you think time will vindicate? While considering the matter, ask yourself: ‘Is belief in a Creator intrinsically harmful? Would universal atheism make for a better world?’ looking at the world today.

The real arguments is of atheists show that they have not really studied the "Bible". Rather, they have listened to the clergy of Christendom who have taught lies concerning Jehovah God, such as the one that he is the proprietor purgatory.”or hell, of literal fire and other false doctrines such as trinity, and immortality of the soul, have turned some people away from God even before they investigate his Word.

The Bible does not teach such unreasonable doctrines. They are taught by false religion, not by True Christianity. The atheist has erred in that he has wrongly assumed that the false religions of Christendom are of God. Rather, they are of the Devil.—2 Cor. 4:4.

Many atheists claim that the world always existed, that it never has a start. But science has proved such reasoning wrong. “All the clues of science point to a time of creation when the cosmic fires were ignited and the vast pageant of the present universe brought into being.

I like to ask where are the brains of the atheists, I am glad I'm not one now.
I think Canary was just making a joke judging by his link. Although putting it in R&S was a bit cheeky.
//Many atheists claim that the world always existed, that it never has a start.//

I don't know who the hell you've been talking to, but no one I know believes that.
Goodlife - Do you believe Jesus is the Son Of God, the second Person of the Trinity?
Theland -If you find the word Trinity, No.
Jesus is the Son Of God, Yes.
Not Michael then?
Goodlife, "While atheists reproach to religion, they revere science, some even claiming that it disproves the existence of God."

Is that your opinion of the people you encountered on this site, or people in general. ( that is certainly not my experience with all religion believers and with 'atheists' )
Putting aside the meaning of 'atheists', I neither reproach religion nor revere science; I have not found any religion that convinces me
that it is the answer nor all science that convinces me it has the all the true answers. But I listen to both of them and form the best view that I can, which often is "I am not convinced BUT will keep an open mind and if asked will say 'I don't know, but maybe if further evidence comes to my attention I might know' ".
Theland- The Scriptural evidence indicates that the name Michael applied to God’s Son before he left heaven to become Jesus Christ and also after his return. Michael is the only one said to be “the archangel,” meaning “chief angel, also Michael means (Who Is Like God) (Jude 9)
I'm sorry Goodlife, I don't follow that.
Theland // The whole God scenario is the raw material for silly jokes, ridicule and anger.

good grief the hypocrisy is eye-watering. Yesterday you were defending yourself from posting a derogatory video making fun of a mentally challenged young woman
sevenOP, //"While atheists reproach to religion, they revere science, some even claiming that it disproves the existence of God."

It’s not his opinion at all. It’s someone else’s opinion that he’s copied from the Watchtower.
I believe in the Sun and the Moon, I believe in the seasons and that the Earth gives and takes, while most of Humanity just takes. I believe some things are here to be found, those who find them are often ridiculed, those that are closed minded prefer to ignore them and create their own Gods in their own images to worship and fight for, in the hope of life ever after.
