Repatriation - a sensible debate?

Much has been said on AB in the recent months regarding repatriation, integration etc and Enoch Powell's speech has also been mentioned.
Questions:
1) If you support repatriation of everybody who you don't consider to be English (and white), do you also think that every English white person should be repatriated back to England? (and are you aware that there are more white English living abroad than there are immigrants here?)
2) Who do you think should do the jobs that currently have skill shortages (like Doctors, nurses etc).
3) Are only English white people allowed to complain about things - if someone is of an immigrant origin then they 'should go back to that country etc'.
4) Is it only immigrants who have to conform to society - since "we are a Christian country" should gays and lesbians be banned?
5) Do you think that just because some black people commit crimes, all black people are dodgy? And if you do, do you believe that all white people are the same?
From a personal point of view, it seems to me that immigration isn't actually the problem. IMHO, it seems that the real problem is the benefits system.
If a government brought in legislation that benefits would no longer be given out and that some degree of work (eg grafitti cleaning, litter picking etc for able bodied, something else for disabled) would need to be done to be able to claim ANY benefit. Further, unless either you or a parent had paid in a certain amount in NI, you would not be eligible for care etc, we would no longer be seen as a 'soft touch'. There would be no 'lazy' people swanning around.

What bothers me is that most second generation immigrants seem to have no loyalty to this country at all - this applies even to those not involved in terrorism.
The accused in the current terrorist trial are the worst of the lot. They (allegedly) want to disrupt the country that nurtured, educated and protected them, and to kill our citizens indiscriminately.

When you say this, what is your basis for comparisson? Is it that they talk badly about our primeminister? (cos then you could include every person who didn't vote for him (the majority))Or is it because they support a different cricket team? (So is it Scot's go home - they rarely want England to win)
And when you say most, do you mean most of the people you know, most of the people mentioned in the Daily Mail, or a true cross section of the community?

Are you saying that the immigrants are all getting the minimum wage flash cos if you think that you are being a bit naive, and I am not saying it is beneath me just that I won't do it!, I did a 5 year apprenticeship and I earn a good wage,being self employed I earn �15 an hour,,so I am lucky, a lot of others aren't,so they should be looked after,but the British have got to be put first. we are scared of offending anybody that is different, the French don't put up with the crap we do

Take their children if they cannot feed then? The alternative to the soft touch state is one that barely supports the idea of a sophisticated civilised society. With the current level of humanity, I do not believe that a balance can be achieved. There are so many factors to consider - is work the most important aspect of modern society?

Personally speaking (and very good on the old grey cells) although my parents come from Sri Lanka, I am British.
I was born in Hertfordshire but brought up in Bedford. I did spend two years in Sri Lanka at an American style school (majority white kids - 40 nationalities) whilst my mother looked after my grandmother. I took my O Levels out there, but returned to sixth form in this country.
I don't particularly get on with my parents (for a variety of reasons which are far to long to go into) speaking to them on the phone once every couple of weeks (they don't know where I live other than in Norfolk). I don't speak Tamil despite my parent's best efforts but do speak O Level standard French (in other words very badly).
Since my parents came from Jaffna, there is an element of my family that support the Tamil tigers. One of my uncles (currently living in Aus) is a fund raiser for them and two of my cousins were serving members.
I reported one of my cousins (who came here as an asylum seeker) as he was working illegally in a shop - ironically he has now emigrated to New Zealand and stopped of in Sri Lanka (where he was fleeing in fear of his life!) on his way there. That really got me wound up.
As a personal view point, being of Asian decent, I get REALLY irritated with the bogus asylum seekers and the immigrants who come here commiting crimes as there are (a lot?) of people who tarnish you with the same brush.
I also get reverse racism from Indians / Pakistanis when they find out that I can't speak their language (plus of course my wife is white - shock horror).
Since I have a (I'm told) posh (but not plummy!) acccent, it does tend to throw people who have spoken to me on the phone when I do finally meet them as well.
I would just tag on the end - British by Nationality, but English when it comes to rugby (to my shame at the moment!). I also tend to put country of birth as

You sound a nice sound geezer oneeye,with no hang ups,thats great,I like your principles and you are truly british so nobody should have a problem with you,and I hope you never do have a problem with other British people whatever there colour!!
And anybody that comes in Legally to WORK here and NOT sponge should be welcome,but if they stop here they should learn English, I know we are the worst at learning another Language,but that is because most of The British public expect everyone to speak english even in Russia, we are a bit arrogant like that aren't we!!!
I'm not at all naive in this, I know it happens. It is unfair, it is immigrants taking the jobs that British people could do. However I do not feel this is a problem of immigration. This is a problem of EXPLOITATION of immigrants by British employers. If the employers would play by the rules it would benefit us all.
It's not the immigrants who are breaking the laws and the rules for working for less than minimum wage, it's the employers for offering it.
There should be some sort of union set up for immigrant workers, to help keep the wages at a decent level and that employers do not force immigrants into the situation where they are undercutting British pay.

To be honest, I think that if all first or second generation immmigrants were of similar stock to yourself there would be few issues - but is that a problem of British society or the actual immigrants? Is that issue tied to problems with self identity or national allegiance? I am a big believer in addressing causes not symptoms, but which is which?

Give all the bloody lay-abouts /scroungers National Service and watch unemployment benefit (funded by us) reduce in no time. There is also no discipline in this country anymore. (National Service to teach them some f****n manners) Drug dealers,neds,chavs and paedophiles should be jailed for life. Immigrants who are out of work for more than seven days should be deported on the eighth day. I may be mad but I think you're the mad ones tolerating this s***e.
One major concern I have though is that due to my origins, if I went on an anti war protest (and I am against the war in Iraq) I may be arrested. I could then be held on fictious terrorism charges.
How easy would it be for the sun / Daily Mail etc to portray me as Mr X who's uncle raises money for terrorists and maybe a couple of shots of my cousins in LTTE 'uniforms' carrying assault rifles.
Suddenly, the story is spun, and (from the majority of previous posts I have seen on AB) the majority of people would say send him back.

Wars and political unrest all over the world is the main cause of immigrants levaing their homelands. Given the opportunity, most of them wouldnt twice of going back home. Look what politics has done. There are some very dangerrous countries that make it impossible for people to live there safely. THe war in Iraq was suppose to improve things instead it aggravated it. Politics has two faces. War and Peace? Never. As usual, families living in those troubled countries where politics is out of control and most probably backed by the Super Powers, find it impossible to live there. What would you do if you were stuck in coutnes like that? You have a choice here because you have money. THe only choice they have is Life or Death? Remember the Jews? So stop blaming innocent people when it is the Governments that are controlling this world.
