Zacs, like others, you throw darts but never suggest a theory of your own.
Are you devoid of the ought and imagination?
Do you watch Eastenders?
Yes I do, Theland. It states ‘The universal law of cause and effect states that for every effect there is a definite cause‘

A definite cause. Not uncaused. Definite.

You seem to have tripped yourself up again.

// Zacs, like others, you throw darts but never suggest a theory of your own //

Talk about Pot and Kettle ;o)
Theland, you don't need an alternative proven theory to rule others out. That is just a change of subject. I would like to hear about your theory, especially as you are about the only person who is sure.
He’s shot himself in the foot well and truly.
Wish he'd aim a bit higher:-/
Not really. Without time to put things in order who is to say whether cause and effect have meaning ? The universe may have always been here. But for the sake of discussion we can assume an uncaused first cause if you like. I like that because of believing in the 'Big Bang'. The uncaused cause was probably the universe (however defined) itself. Which brings us on to the definition anyway. Did the 'Big Bang' occur in one part of an existing universe, or is it the start of all that is ? Or maybe one start of many, but all we know of is this one ?
If there were an uncaused cause creating the Universe, what uncaused cause would have created God?
The uncaused cause was uncaused. I think. Convenient, anyway. I'm sure theland will explain further.

I would like to share your belief Pix, but I don't think it will happen.
Ever optimistic, baldric ;-)
Theland does seem to have gone off for dinner.... but I am confident he will be back to explain all his theories :-)

God, eternal, is the Uncaused first cause.

Mock me, but never come up with a theory of your own.
That's a bit cowardly.
//God, eternal, is the Uncaused first cause//
And your evidence for this is ????
I'm not mocking you, theland. I am genuinely interested in your thoughts, and why? I am not claiming to know, myself, so I don't need to prove a theory.
How did an uncaused God exist? And how is anything eternal?
If God could have been an uncaused first cause, could the Universe not also be an uncaused first cause?
The Lost Cause.

Usual verbal Diarrhoea .

There is a God. Past and future eternal.
Get your head around that and everything else falls k to place.
There is not other sensible explanation.
Is there?
If so, what?
