Jesus is said to have been male, if so where did his Y chromosome come from if Mary was a virgin?

/Joseph and Mary wouldn't have done the deed at the time Jesus was conceived, they weren't married/
Such touching Faith Boxy, you'll go straight to heaven..guarenteed
That's very interesting Naomi. I have been watching the film of the Bible - out of curiosity not belief (dyed in the wool atheist) and the thought had gone through my mind that it was one of those naughty Romans. So I reckon my thought has been confirmed.
Starone, well someone dunnit - that's for sure! ;o)

Apologies for not posting this 9 months earlier, it would have been more appropriate but less topical,

Naomi, I can't wait for the TV series, who do you think should be cast as Pantera, George Cloony is getting a bit long in the tooth now :o)
I remember Brian's Mother saying that Nortius Maximus had promised her
"the known world"...could he have provided the y chromosome perhaps ?
Question Author
Mikey, things do seem to be leading in a particular direction.
Jom, I can't think past George. ;o)

Don't worry Naomi, it's perfectly normal Mrs jom's brain ceases to function every time she sees one of those bl00dy nespresso ads.
God created Adam (pbuh) without any chromosome.

/God created Adam (pbuh) without any chromosome./
Do you know what a chromosome is KP? Do you have any?
Keyplus - “God created Adam (pbuh) without any chromosome.”

Really? When you were 'studying' all the various religions Keyplus, did it ever occur to you to also study some modern science? Presumably not since your statement is utterly preposterous. If ignorance is bliss, you must be practically orgasmic.
Keyplus, if God created Adam without any chromosome, and you are a descendant of Adam, have you ever wondered how come you have chromosomes?
Question Author
Naomi, KP's chromosomes must have come from Eve, which makes him a woman, (in denial)
Question Author
She was also born an atheist.
Mikey - you are right- the Gk word is parthenos - remember that the Gospels were written in greek whomever they were about, and not translations - altho they spoke Aramaic when they were buying potatoes and sprouts and so on. I think your vicar was thinking of the likely Aramaic word and its meanings.

a little later on you have Jesus' brothers (adelphoi) and this is taken to mean relations.

actually the texts look as tho they were re-written to fit in with prophecies of Ho the messiah will be born of a virgin etc
////Keyplus, did it ever occur to you to also study some modern science?////

Shall we have a face to face debate on modern science at a place of your choice, at a time of your choice and among the people of your choice?
Keyplus, why would anybody want to meet you face to face for such a discussion, what is wrong with discussing it here, very strange request!!
Keyplus, this is not the first time you have asked Birdie to meet you face to face – in fact I’ve lost count of the number of times you’ve asked him – and I’ve lost count of the number of times you’ve been told it’s wrong to harass him like that. Coming from an anonymous poster on the internet it’s creepy – and you’ve been told that before too.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to meet him in person? Surely you can say what you want to say to him here – or can’t you?
