Looks like I'm going to be a Hindu.

That's okay. The clothes are pretty, and we are allowed to drink.

Heh - just realised the glaring error in this flowchart, which will give aid and comfort to the enemy... hope they do not notice.. :)
atheism, a religion?
Question Author
darn it! The error has been spotted already.

Im going to have to go and have a word with the flowchart god.

Sorry JJ by the way - apparently, Voodoo aint what theydoo...
Best to get it out in the open, LG. The bible bashers will love it. ;-)
I will practice Voodoo on the side, then.
Flipping 'eck, I'm a...........................................................Well never mind
doctordb; //atheism, a religion?// It is a striking feature of recent debates about the existence of God that it is the atheists rather than the theists who post with missionary fervour and a passionate desire to convert readers to their 'religion'.
khandro, as no-one is born believing in a god, should the word be 'revert' instead of 'convert'.
On the right hand side of the chart where it asks "are you rich and insane" , if you tick "no" there should then be another question :
"Do you see people who are religious as the enemy "
Then answering "no" would lead to "atheist" whereas answering "yes" would lead to "satanist"

.....Glaring error corrected?....
Seeing this reminded me of a site I used to visit regularly about a decade or more ago. ReligiousTolerance.org, so I looked for the quiz I once tried there, and found a link to http://selectsmart.com/RELIGION/ Tried it again and discovered I'm now a Unitarian Universalism apparently. I feel sure I was a Satanist last time I tried.

I think your facebook one seems a little tongue in cheek.
I'm vvvvvvvvv happy @ 0% JW with that survey O_G, onwards and upwards to logical thinking for all :)
argorstran, //"Do you see people who are religious as the enemy " //

What a strange thing to say. Do you really think non-believers think like that?

Khandro, // It is a striking feature of recent debates, ….//

Clearly you failed to comprehend a word.
doctordb; No one is born believing in anything, disbelief is in itself a belief.
Question Author
@ argorstran - No, your modification is just you trying to be clever. Some atheists might see view organised religion and its upper echelon management as the enemy, others might see a fundamental religious wordview as an enemy of reason, but neither is mandatory to be an atheist. Simply a lack of belief in a god or gods.

@Khandro - No surprise that you offer your usual constructive (?) opinion. Whilst the faithheads offer speculative hypothesis as fact, and whilst fundamentist believers reject science and evidence in favour of faith headed wrongheadedness, you will see energetic rebuttal. You approach this whole thing from the wrong angle. As usual.
Question Author
children are not born with an inherent belief in god, as you for once rightly point out. Since atheism is a lack of belief in a god or gods, that means children come into this world as atheists, and are then infected ( or educated, I suppose, depending on your point of view) into the god of their family.

naomi;//Clearly you failed to comprehend a word.// I comprehend all the words very well, but don't necessarily agree.
Question Author
To paraphrase Eric Morecambe - I may be saying all the right words, just not necessarily in the right order :)

And I think we all know you do not agree.
Khandro, not true. If it were, you would understand that atheism can in no way be considered a religion.
i like that...
