Head Of State Deluded ?

I note that that the majority of posters on here do not beleive that there is a God and that those who do , are deluded / stupid .

Do you therefore think that our Head Of State is also deluded / stupid ?

My belief in the existence of God does not depend upon what Queen believes. As far as I am concerned she is just a human like any of us therefore would not influence me if she declares to be an atheist tomorrow.

Some believers are deluded and stupid. Some are deluded and not stupid. By definition, an atheist must hold the view that a believer is at the very least deluded.

And so yes, David Cameron is also deluded, as was Tony Blair before him.

GW Bush and Tony Blair both said they prayed to God about the "weapons of mass destruction" before the Iraq Invasion. They took God's advice instead of that of the UN inspectors who actually investigated and concluded that Iraq did not have WMDs.

Sounds deluded to me.

It used to be said that patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel, it appears in the 21st century for many the last refuge is religion or/and the word of god.

It is obvious that theists are deluded, as are those who believe in astrology, homeopathy, palmistry or crystal-gazing. Being head of state or head of government provides no immunity from the brain-washing that causes the delusion in the first place.

Whenever I'm tempted to call them all stupid (as many of them are) I remind myself of Clanad, who is obviously highly intelligent but also religious. So intelligence gives no immunity either. Very odd.

Because deluded people have led many to stop believing in the true God. They feel that it is impossible in this scientific 21st century to believe in an invisible God,

So if there is no God to whom humans have any accountability, hundreds of millions of people are being deluded. Their beliefs moving them to sacrifice their time, energy and assets in something that will bring no benefit to them.
On the other hand, if a true God exists, one who has a purpose for mankind, only then would we have our reason for being on earth.
