Such a viewpoint is common in today’s world. Scandals involving lies told by prominent politicians and other world leaders have rocked society. Influenced by this climate, many people have relaxed their commitment to telling the truth. In some domains lying has even become official policy. “I’m paid to lie. This seems to be the core of retail sales training everywhere, Many believe that there is no real harm in so-called little white lies. Is this true?

As a point of interest, from a newbie here, why is this person allowed to carry on posting this unsubstantiated drivel?
Because we all have a right to free speech and this is an open forum.
All the time he has an audience and posters keeping him going....he will keep posting "this drivel".

The same situation existed today, although warned of their impending destruction they too are not interested in anyone who would disturb their routine of life.
Yes, I will keep posting "this drivel".then no one can say I didn’t know.
(2 Peter 2:5)
Matthew 7:1-5
So you admit to posting "drivel," elderman.

I would think that the Ed may take a dim view to this.
DT, unless he says something worthy of a constructed answer, I shall keep reminding him of Matthew 7:1-5. Eventually he may come to accept the advice of his own book, and to understand that the plank is, indeed, in his own arrogant, hypocritical, eye.

Yes , you consider it a load of "drivel," I don’t
The spiritual eye as well as the physical eye is a gift of God. (Pr 20:12) He promises to heal spiritual eyes as well as physical ones and to remove all causes for tears. One cannot understand God’s purposes without the gift of spiritual eyesight.
Matthew 7:1-5
Matthew 18-9 always seemed a bit drastic to me. Probably more sensible just to avert ones gaze.
Elderman.. if you think that cloaking your incoherent babblings in 'bible speak' fools anyone you may be right but if so you are only fooling one person.
Just a bit Sandy! :o)
Proverbs20:12 doesn't mention the spiritual eye.
//Yes, I will keep posting "this drivel".then no one can say I didn’t know.
(2 Peter 2:5) //

Nobody can say they didn't know, only if they bothered to look up your reference in a book relating to only one religion, you mean.
Vulcan, //Proverbs20:12 doesn't mention the spiritual eye.//

if a text doesn't suit him Elderman either makes it up so that it will, or ignores it completely. If that's what his 'spiritual eye' does, I must say I prefer my two honest eyes.
Elderman obviously has a 'spiritual eye' which doesn't often see the light of day.

Yes,the Source of another kind of light, one that enables us to have spiritual vision, spiritual enlightenment. One dictionary defines “enlighten” this way: “To furnish knowledge to: instruct; to give spiritual insight to.” It defines “enlightened” as: “freed from ignorance and misinformation.

That ok, Is like someone asking you what your objectives were, would your answer be about earning a living, having a family, finding some entertainment or preparing for the “winter” of old age? Certainly those things are not wrong. Yet how would such a life differ from that of a squirrel, a sparrow or other animal that is born, grows up, eats, sleeps, mates and finally dies? However, becoming a true Christian, your life has meaning; your goals center on serving the Creator.—Ecclesiastes 12:13.
My life differs greatly from that of a squirrel without requiring that it is spent serving a mythical monster.
