I am attempting to plan a wedding and have been trying to find a pretty church anywhere in the uk and scotland. But googling is not proving fruitful. It would be nice if it was surrounded by trees/blossoms etc... I seem to keep coming up with hotels/mansions etc which are nice but not exactly what I am after

Do you have a beautiful or unusual church/chapel/building near you or that you have seen?

Just somewhere nice.

Suggestions please guys....

Thanks

what about the church in Luss, a small village that backs onto Loch Lomond?
Greedy, this church has been used by quite a few 'celebrities' for their weddings and there are quite a few plush hotels nearby for your reception (Cameron House which just won hotel of 2010 and the Lodge on the Loch to name a couple)

Hey, I never read the posts first - great minds jeni :)

Also, Greedy, if you're not specifically looking for a church but want somewhere unusual, I got married on the Maid of the Loch - a paddle steamer berthed on Loch Lomond. We had exclusive use of the boat for the whole day and had the ceremony, meal and reception on board. Weather permitting you can have the ceremony on deck too. It's a beautiful setting and certainly a memorable venue/location for it.
This is the most peaceful building/church I have ever been in,and has idyllic, terraced gardens on the surrounding slopes....a truly magical atmosphere.

My nephew married his Scottish wife at her local chapel. Rosslyn. I've never, ever seen such a beautiful place. No wonder Dan Brown chose it for the Da Vinci Code.
and its very old - recently has had hidden connections with coded medieval music in the church friezes.....

Ah, the Rosslyn Chapel. Beautiful and fascinating place, but it gives me a headache. The walls and ceiling are so very busy.
