In my bathroom there is a jar of something called Carrot Day Cream.

When is Carrot Day and why does it demand a special cream?

(Yes, I know that I could ask my wife or daughter but I thought I'd get more intriguing answers from ABers.)

What, are you tryin' to get me banned from AB?

If Hazel (our resident expert yard rabbit) has anything to say about it, everyday is Carrot Day!
Carrots used on the body in the incorrect way can cause great pain and may require a cream to sooth... Possibly.
Lending to the confusion, chakka35 (we've got to stop meeting this way) is the high probability that you've placed the emphasis or even lacked a comma that would clarify the useage of said cream. If the phrase were spoken thusly: Carrot, Day Cream one would immediately understand that your wife and/or daughter are closet gardener's knowing full well that adavnced carrot tending requires the application of a cream to the exposed tops to eliminate the undesirable brownish-green top that occurs when the carrot becomes sunburned.
I'm somewhat surprised that you're unaware of this and even more chagrined that you're supervision of the females in your hosuehold leaves a lot to be desired... Really! And I thought you had it together...
Honestly, how ridiculous of you all......

You are assuming that it is all one word - Car rot day cream is, in fact, the wax you put on your car after washing it - it keeps those nasty rust patches away - you HAVE to apply it in the day time to avoid applying it unevenly......

tch...... (*shakes head)
Clanad is right, but it can also be used as a fake suntan, and is far cheaper than the posh stuff sold in the local pharmacy. Have you noticed your females displaying and orange tan lately?

Do you know chakka35, I thought you were female, I just had a mental picture of a 35 year old lady school teacher when you were replying to my posts

Just shows eh?

PS it's a face cream

Thank you4GS, I could have got that answer from my wife and daughter.
I'll deal with the witty replies in due course.
I will also dine out on the idea that I am a 35-year-old female schoolteacher. Bliss!
Thanks chakka. The replies to this made me laugh out loud! Carrots have got Vitamin A in which is good for skin. However whether you would want the orange that goes with it is another matter. Mind you some of the dayglo tanning looks orange anyway. Tee hee
Their lightweight carrot day moisturiser helps repair and revive sun damaged and ageing skin.

Carrot day being the colour you go after spending too much time in the sun!
I was going to ask about my wife's vanishing cream, but I can't seem to find it.
We could lobby our local MP to have the new bank holiday named 'Carrot Day' and we could all by the cream to show how patriotic we are:

What an erudite and imaginative lot you are! Im glad I gave this important problem to ABers and not to those ordinary people out there. They would have staggered under the intellectual weight of it.
Sadly, amsterdammer and 4GSdecided to be silly and make out that it is a face cream the very idea! but 4GS is forgiven for the later suggestion about a Bank Holiday. But the day must already exist; otherwise why would they have made a special cream for it? And no,Theland, there has been no outbreak of Peter Hain faces in this house.
mibcan obviously see implications that I missed, and China Dollscontribution made this male go hot under the collar.
Clanadand angeldrawsboth give brilliant replies, though Im not sure what a gardening ointment and a salve for motorcars would be doing in the bathroom. On second thoughts, knowing how potty the distaff side of my family is, its not out of the question. That Carrot Day is a colour and not a date in the calendar, as suggested by elloras means that Ive got to start my researches all over again. And bimbo, this is serious: please stop laughing or youll go to the naughty step.
And what do we do with someone like rojash who seems to think that a cream will vanish just because it has vanishing in its name! Honestly, theres one born every minute
Im now wondering why Toyota dont make full-size otas.
