Do you think there are differences between the North and South then? If you do think there are differences, what do you like about those differences? Does anyone take the stereotypes that we give each other seriously? Do you think it's all just a bit of joke that we poke fun at each other or do you think there's a serious element to it all?
(And if anyone can tell me what a stuttie (sp?!) is I'd really appreciate it!)
I don't see any serious differences - we dont hate each other entirely but living up here in the north of scotland we get right annoye at a centric london attitude and the attitude of southerners to us scots and northeners. they treat us like we're hollow, its always raining and we're all a bunch of fat, violent druggies. The south isnt all its hyped up to be. Northeners are a lot more realistic, tolerant and a lot less stuck up.
I never even thought about a north/south divide until I went on holiday and met a shed loads of northers.. I have now decided I'm going to marry a northener as the selection i met were very handsome and there is just something about there accents.. oooh!!!! ( even if i could barely undersatand what they said!)
xx
Hence what you like about the differences if there are any!
I especially think there are differences between northern and southern men. Also, some northern women scare the bejesus out of me. But I know them, they're lovely and as they say 'I'm just telling it to you straight, stop yer greeting' (Or something like taht anyway).
