Hi All,

Do you think there are differences between the North and South then? If you do think there are differences, what do you like about those differences? Does anyone take the stereotypes that we give each other seriously? Do you think it's all just a bit of joke that we poke fun at each other or do you think there's a serious element to it all?

(And if anyone can tell me what a stuttie (sp?!) is I'd really appreciate it!)

Cheers
China

There's definitely a difference in sense of humour.

I will go on record as saying that I much prefer the sense of humour from Oop (<<< That's my imitation accent) North.
Elvis68, are you saying that southerners are tighter, paranoid and vain?
Southern accents all sound the same
I quite like northerners, especiall people from Yorkshire and Durham, I think they are more trustworthy and have better values lol

I am from the south west and 10 miles west of Bristol we don't consider ourselves part of the south, I think we are more inclined t think of ourselves as southwest and have little to no interest on what is going on north or east of brizzle.
