Did God Use Evolution to Create Life? Has All Life Descended From a Common Ancestor? What does the evidence reveal? Does the evidence support the Bible’s description of events, or was Darwin correct? What have discoveries over the past 150 years revealed?

Fanny, the sun came millions of years after the Big Bang. If you want to know more about it, then perhaps read Stephen Hawkings' book 'A Brief History of Time'. Better than hoping for enlightenment here.
Atheist, thank you for your polite and encouraging posts.
I have not read that particular book, but have read Brief History Of Time by Hawking.
I have however, spent considerable time studying the subject, and am not convinced.
Lawrence Krause, A Universe From Nothing, is more philosophy than science and leaves many basic questions unanswered.
Daniel Dennet likewise.
God is the best explanation.
Too highbrow for me Atheist, does he explain about the Big Bang and what was there before the Big Bang?
But who created God theland?Did he/she have parents?or grandparents?
naomi - // AH. And it’s my business if I choose to post a contribution. //

Even if it's pointless - like this one.

I never said it was not your business if you choose to post a contribution, simply that maybe you should extend the same courtesy to others.

// Your advice is surplus to requirements - as always. //

It wasn't advice.
ynnaf - // But who created God theland?Did he/she have parents?or grandparents? //

You'll discover, if you haven't already, that Theland has fixed and utterly unmoveable views about God, what he is, and what he does.

That's why he is never 'convinced' by any science he reads - because his mind is made up, even though the vehemently protests to the contrary.
fanny, I think that Hawkins explains why there is not necessarily anything before time. I can't explain it to you. I think that he says that time did not exist before time started. I don't understand it.Maybe you would, if you read his book.
But surely there must be some kind of time progression. They say the Earth was a outburst from the Sun.They say the Sun was an outburst from the big bang.So where did the big bang come from?Where did the million, billion stars and constellations come from?
// Your advice is surplus to requirements - as always.//
isnt that a quality of advice - it is surplus?
otherwise it would be instructions

Did the bible describe the big Bang?- I think I know the answer to that one - - er no for others on AB
Thanks for that,Peter, but your sensible erudition convinces no-one.Have a nice day,old boy.
Genesis 1:1 describes it.
Who can contradict it?
Any sane or rational human being perhaps. If God created the world, perhaps you can tell me who created God.Did She make herself?
Theland; people who think about things can contratradict all sorts of made-up stuff from non-thinkers who were making up stuff thousands of years ago. Why do you believe old-fashioned stuff on principle, just because it's old? Do you not have a mind of your own?
To attribute a lineage to God, well, you are not then talking about God, are you?
Excuse me, Locusts and God, have you got your bruised/injured foot sorted out, Theland?
No, Theland, you are not talking about God, you are not talking about anybody!
But who made God,theland?Did She make herself out of a bit of fairydust?
DTC - posted on Chatterbank :-(

Time is part of the creation, created by God. He is not subject to it, but is eternal.
fanny. Theland would not (I think) accept that god could be a 'she'.
Strange how difficult the concept is to grasp, that the Creator is not subject to His creation. Lineage, gender etc.
