A short lie in this morning. I haven't looked out yet, But it doesn't matter really in the great scheme of things. I'll do some resting on the recliner later.
My lovely next door neighbour has said she will do my shopping for me, which will be a great help. When I'm back fully on my feet, I'll take them to lunch at The George in Cambridge. (that's the Gloucestershire Cambridge)
It's going to be a long time until I'm back to normal. Whatever that is!
Have a happy day everyone.

Morning Boaty, peered outside to put some bits in bin, is frosty and cold. Good that your neighbour has offered to do your shopping, are you still going to nip to newsagents to get paper, will not do you any harm to get out for a short while each day - weather allowing. Heeling takes time.
Jens hospital appointment on Friday was a fiasco. Because I thought hospital transport was being arranged by hospital being as they suggested it(because Jen will need to travel by wheelchair)
No transport turned up, apparently it was for me to arrange which I now have done for Monday. So a another couple of days, but Jens foot has got no worse. I was admonished by consultant, no point in me saying anything, just took it all in - not, because of a simple misunderstanding.
Morning all - a better zzzz last night, thank goodness...could still do with an extra hour or so. A quiet Sunday ahead...I must admit that I am beginning to become a little stir-fry crazy over this lockdown, partly because the weather has been so crap and the forecast for today is somewhat grim, rain due in from 8 to 5 today, heavy up to
Spam about in home and garden.

Morning tony. My neighbours are two lovely people. I will indeed still get my paper and have a natter with my newsagent mate. We always put the world tp rights, the PM should learn from us! :-D Otherwise wouldn't get out much. But ta this time of year that's not really a hardship!
Re the hospital transport, I've always found it better to DIY. You know it'd done then. My transport for my next appointment is already in place.
DTC I agree with the stir crazy bit, I'm going to make a conscious effort to get out twice a day for a 20'minute walk.

I wish could walk for twenty minutes! Five max at the moment.
Lol Boaty, I haven't really been any distance, only 3 minute walk to local shop for 10 months now. Need to get some strength back in my legs.
Boaty I'm sure your walking distances will increase. Do you have an aftercare package put in place by hospital?
Question Author
I know what you mean Tony. I really got knocked for six. it's going be quite a while before I can do that. I'm just going to have to relax and wait.
Question Author
Nothing from the hospital Tony. They know I'm a medic, so probably thought let him get on with it!
You've also got the effect of the anaesthetic to get out of you, Boaty - the old saying is a month for each hour that you were under the anaesthetist's gun.....
Good morning all.
Morning danny....all well in the world of owls?
Yes as you know time is a great healer. Be good if you can get physiotherapist to call by for a few appointments.

Morning danny.

You're right DT. I'm lucky to have such lovely neighbours.
Morning danny and DTC

The physios wouldn't be much help at the moment, another couple of weeks maybe.
Ok just a thought, but you'd already thought of it.
