I have four symptoms of Corvi19. Dry cough, dry eyes, aches, shortness of breath.
Sometimes temperature high, then back down. Feel ill but not too ill. Opinions re self confinement please. My wife thinks No, I'm not so sure.

Yes.
Self isolate, that’s really all you’d be told to do anyway, good luck, I hope it isn’t David
Yes, better to be on the safe side.
How high is your temperature and how often is it elevated ?
Phone 111 for advice
Why don't you ring 111 and let them advise you instead.
Do not call 111 for advice unless the symptoms worsen. This is what the PM and the CMO said yesterday. 111 is currently overwhelmed and these calls prevent people with more serious symptoms accessing help.

Advice is self isolate. Also check out the NHS website.
The official NHS advice is NOT to call 111 unless your symptoms fail to improve after 7 days or if they get significantly worse or you feel that you're unable to cope at home:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

That's because
(a) they don't want the call lines overwhelmed by pointless calls ; and
(b) the only thing they'll tell you anyway is to self-isolate.
I agree self isolate
You, wife and anyone else who lives with you.
Barmaid is right.

Do the online self assessment instead.

Clikc "Start Now".
How awful for you David, I hope it's not and whichever, you recover soon.

Yes, I think self-isolate is a good idea.
When I did the self assessment (some time ago) it wasn't interested because I hadn't been to China or come into contact with a confirmed infected person.
The fact that I had all the symptoms and had been in contact with a young lady recently returned from Thailand, Laos and Vietnam was irrelevant to their assessment - so I self isolated anyway.
Well most of us are free thinking adults and can do what we feel is best at the time but unfortunately that's all we can do.

Thanks all, self isolation it is. I've got lots of books.
You should, and now she's been in contact with you, so should Mrs S.

Did the NHS test told to self isolate, so will. Thanks all.
And anybody you've spoken to on here... ;-)
