The Risk Of Racist Accustaions.

A genuine question. I am not a racist, but feel the necessity to display my credentials.
My Sudanese daughter in law is now three days overdue with my ninth grandchild.
So to the heart of the question.
Western European culture has given the world football, cricket, rugby, great classical music, great art, plays, world dominating pop culture, fashion, democracy, inventions, scientific advancement etc etc etc to name but a tiny few.

So what has Africa contributed to human advancement?

20.17 ^^^To say that we were never enslaved is not true. I am just about to read the book''White Gold'' that tells the shocking tale of approx. one million white slaves bought by the tyrannical Sultan of Morocco and some were enslaved for as long as 20 years . Many of them were sailors from Cornwall . The book tells the story of a cabin boy called Tom Pellowe. Possibly one of my ancestors.

I wasn't aware of this book until one of my sons paid a visit last week. He is researching his family ancestry and he drew my attention to it. I bought it a few days ago and was interested to find that the Pellow name (without the' e ')was about the main character. My ancestors are from Penryn in Cornwall .My Great-great grandad was a John Pellow. My own father was called Tom Pellowe , my Grandad was Tom also.I have photos going back to my Great-great grandparents in Cornwall so you can imagine that I was very interested to hear about this book. Pellowe was a very common name in Cornwall so the Tom that this story is about may well not be one of my relatives. I just felt that I had to point out that white people were also enslaved not just black people.

Atheist----I didn't say they were all from Cornwall. I said 'many of them were sailors from Cornwall.' The slaves were Europeans from many different countries.I may have gone over the top with 'millions' should probably have said thousands . Please don't nit-pick.

I'm not being insulting Theland, explain to me where I have insulted you, and if you project the views you have on here in real life then I wouldn't like you as a neighbour. You don't come off as very Christian to me, which is why I mentioned it, you are very hung up on race, ethnicity and origins, which let's be honest your god who allegedly made it all doesn't give a rat's chuff about.

I actually do give a rats chuff about too much immigration, and especially illegal immigration.
Our Capital City a majority of immigrants, our NHS burdened with them, Education burdened with them, housing burdened with them, and our own people suffering all kinds of shortages in benefits and services.
Increase crime, as in France, Belgium, Sweden and Germany, Black on Black shootings and stabbings in London, and the Muslim takeover of so many towns.
Yes I really do give several rats chuffs.
