A New Year's gift to friends and enemies of the EU. It's an intelligent .comment by De Tocqueville from his reflections on the American republic, and his speculations on future threats to its liberties He was obviously speaking by analogy with his knowldge of "L'Ancien Régime". (From where I come from, of course, I see this as a rather profound anticipation of the methods by which democracy regresses into oligarchy)

Naomi, they are though, the media just doesn't use the persons religion as an excuse or reason.
Because lets be honest, that's the only way you know anything about anything that happens in the world, via the media. They want to make you think a certain way.. It's working.

I've never been attacked.. Nor have i ever seen a muslim even get angry.. However, i've seen loads of brits have fights in town, even seen one bottle hit mate once.. Must of been because he wasn't a muslim, just like if he was a muslim, it would have been due to that also, right?
