However I've told myself that I must save some money, so I'm staying in with a bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon instead. (I seem to be rather good at telling myself that I'm saving money every time I buy a bottle of wine!)

Chris, you ARE saving money. Just think how much 3 x 250ml glasses of Chilean Cab Sauv would set you back in your average wine bar. You have probably saved so much, you could earnestly purchase another bottle just incase one wasn't enough.
