Thursday. A wee touch of frost this morning. Winter's chill tendrils are looking for targets.

The session at the hospice went well...I think so anyway.

Domesticity today, well, that's the plan anyway.

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning ark. It's still as black as a witches hat here.

Sleep well mate.
Morning Skipper, how's things?
Question Author
Afternoon oz. Pretty good thanks mate. How's you?
Chugging along thanks, wasn't overly hot today, hit 32c but was unusually humid. Can't handle humid myself, give me dry any day, a lot more comfortable.
Question Author
Can't argue with that mate. The hunidity in Malaya was almost like swimming. Apart from that it's a beautiful country.
Sounds like you'll be doing what I did today, Dyson dance, mingle with a mop, wrestle with washing, place pegs (strategically, of course), de-home the dust, ready for next time ;-)
Question Author
yup; that's about the size of it. I'm tempted by the G Tech cordless vacuum cleaner. P{ondering buying one. They do a wee hand held one too, to take care of the dusting etc. I shaLL check the bank ballance.
Question Author
I have a steam mop, which makes short work of the kitchen and hall floors. Good for the windows too.
Seen them advertised, wondered what they are like. Old fashioned here, string mop, roller bucket with hot water and whatever cleaning stuff is on hand, a cocktail some days if the stock is running low ;-/
My parents have a cordless "stick" vacuum, brilliant!!! Does floors hard and soft, remove the stick bit and it's an awesome duster. Goes for about 40 mins on one charge.
Not sure what brand though.
Question Author
I know what you mean. I'd like to see one of the G Techs in action first. The steam mop is brilliant! Recommended by minty, it does the kitchen and hall floors in about ten minutes, with verey little effort, and they are dry almost immediately.
Question Author
That sounds like the D Tech. I shall investigate, I've half sold it to myself. I'll probably order one by the end of the day!
If Minty reckons some gizmo does a good job and saves time I'm sure it does. I sometimes wonder how the girl fits 40 hours into one day ;-)
Question Author
Me too. I haven't heard from her for as while. I'm wondering if all is well. I've emailed her, but not hads a reply.
No doubt the wee lass is as busy as usual, hope everything is aok.

Did mention her Oh had a little car bingle the other day, didn't seem drastic though. Fingers crossed.
Question Author
I'm thinking is mum OK as well.
