Excluding any rent or mortgage payment, how much would you say your monthly bills and living costs come to?

£500 ish... class C.
Gas=£80 pm
Electric=£50 pm
Food= £300 pm for 3 of us
Telephone and Virgin media (internet and TV)= £75 pm
Just bills is £350 a month............
If we're including food....another £500 ish. 4 of us..
It's council tax which raises ours - £140 per month.
Come on daffy..............what about council tax, insurances, TV licence?
Water...
Surely if you include Car tax,petrol and insurance. Then there is building and contents insurance.I'm sure mine is a lot more than that. In fact I'm frighten to add it up.
I've put mine on a spreadsheet and I take the costs out as each one goes through the bank on direct debit, so I can see how much I've still got to pay out on any given date. At the moment, I'm clear until payday!

Thank Christ I don't have any kids to feed!
we spend about £70 a week on shopping, but that's everything, including things like binliners and cat food (cats are dear!)
Per calendar month we pay out;
Council tax - £ 125
Water - £ 18
TV Licence - £ 14
Contents/ Buildings Insurance - £ 25
Gas - £ 40
Electricity - £ 50
Telephone/Broadband - £ 30
Car Insurance - £ 30
Petrol - £ 60

Shopping tends to be variable, but as little as we can get away with....
Excluding mortgate, mortgage insurance and childcare my bills etc come up to just over £1000. That includes groceries, mob, tv etc,.
I think we should all be like the Gypo's and pay nothing.
Cc, water, elec and tv is 180, if you include tv znd phone thats 90. Food is roughly 50 a week for the three of us
Craft, I have no idea what those cost as the oh pays them. I think you could probably stick another £150 on top of what I stated before (TV licence, car insurance, contents insurance and Council Tax)
Council tax here is £133 pm.
Because my other half has a low wage and both me and our son get DLA we have applied for and been awarded council tax benefit, so our bill just came down by a fair bit.
I spend nearly £200 a month on petrol and ciggies alone (if you need to add that in)
