Does it matter which hand you wear your wedding ring? As far as I know your wedding ring is worn on the third finger of your left hand, but is this true everywhere? I have started to wear mine on the third finger of my right hand as I find it more comfortable and a better fit? Does anyone else do this and do you think it is a big deal which hand it's worn on?

I think on balance, more people actually use the right hand than the left for wedding rings.

DT cross...what looks like bad table manners to us is, in fact quite acceptable in chinese socierty. chopsticks have an etiquette all of they're own. EG. You should never 'cross' them on your plate when you've finished, but always use the little stand for them at the side. you should never 'feed' anybody a morsel with your own chopsticks, but offer your bowl for them to take, you should never use your chopstick(s) to point at anybody, or 'stab' at food. To hold your bowl of rice under your chin and to shovel it in, is, in fact the correct way to eat rice.

merciasounds, do you mean worldwide? I don't know anyone that wears there wedding ring on the right hand that I can think of, it is always the left round these parts.

As for chopsticks and wiping your arses, that's for another topic methinks.
Thanks Mercia - I lived in Hong Kong and mainland China but, to be fair, you did not know that. There are several other disciplines to the table as well not least how guest sit.
