Good morning all. I'm sitting with my patio door open and a lovely cool light breeze coming in. Won't last long before the heat takes over then I might go back to bed as I didn't go to bed till after midnight.
And that's as far ahead as I've planned.
Today, I shall be attending a memorial service at The National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire. This is in memory of all those lost onboard HM Ships Glorious, Ardent and Acasta on June 8th 1940, when 1540 men lost their lives. This was the biggest loss of life for the Royal Navy in any single battle of WW2. We will remember them.
Gonna be another sunny one here in Essex! Just back from walking the hound and it's warm and muggy already. Work for me today, at least it's air conditioned, which would be fine if the public learned to shut the bluddy door behind them!
Sorry all was in the garden doing battle with slugs!
Clarion the memorial sounds grand
DG we are due storms later so I have Jess’s sedation at the ready!
Rocky hope you managed more sleep
Aberdeen resident (easier to write than your name lol) I know that weather well
LB i hope you have managed to cool down and nicebloke enjoy walking your camel
Morning, the last of the really hot days expected today, if my friend stays in hospital I will be trekking across the city to Heartlands as she is running out of clean underwear. If she is discharged will just need to cook for her for a few days.
Morning all :) Nice work Rowan and Clarion, it always does me good to read that others can be bothered to do the right thing. Red, day 3 of the celebrations, don't know how you find that energy! Just poor divegirl working then. Hope you all have a good day and make the best of it as you can x
Morning Choux and Rowan.
Today could be the heaviest ast MIL decided to ring whilst we were in the restaurant and accuse me of theft and to let me know the police are coming.
She has rang twice this morning and when himself rang her back she denied everything!!
I think I will need a lot of gin
I will just go to the shop to buy some Gordon's before our stocks run out - the Coop are brilliant at running out of essentials without your help ;) What a thing to happen, Red - one couldn't make it up ((()))
Sometimes, life is not fair. But you know that anyway so enjoy the miles in between you x
Morning Lottie apparently I have stolen money from her bank accounts and set up loads of debits to different places!
A community policeman who has been helping her gave her his direct dial number on Thursday and she has rung it over a dozen times.
Good morning. It is a lovely warm morning in Norfolk, and the forecast is for cooler weather this week. Am going to renew myself in church this morning and take it easy this afternoon.
