does anyone know where I can buy a one off odd sized window? The size I am after is approximately 420mm wide. either wooden or UPVC, it doesn't matter.
Appreciate your help.

Most double glazing firms can make (or supply) windows of specific sizes. They'd be PVC, obviously.

A proper joiner could make you a wooden one, but it would be expensive.

Don't go to one of the major companies that advertise on tv.

Look in your yellow pages, and take the measurements to three small, local companies.

You'll find one to suit you.

If you have a Wickes near you they have a made to measure service- took about 2 weeks to get my last two made- not cheap but pretty good. Alternatively if you want to go cheap you might try a reclamation yard.
