I've been invited to an evening do for a friends wedding. Do I wear a suit or is that more for people who have gone to the church and food bit as well?? I'm male by the way.

I think a suit would be fine but most people tend to just wear a shirt, trousers and shoes.

Real friends woudn't care what you wore ...as long as you were there to celebrate their special day with them

I'd say same as JOEY - shirt, shoes and trousers for the evening. You'll usualy find that the people who've been to the actual ceremony will have taken off their jackets and ties in the evening anyway - esp. if it's hot like now!
