We haven't left the house since the last school run on Friday. We've got plenty of food a the minute and I bought a 24 pack of loo roll just before the panic buying started, I would like to pop to the corner shop or Co op which is a bit further away but too scared to leave the house.

Is there anyone like me or am I just being paranoid?

You are being overly anxious. If you urgently need something then go for it and obey the criteria set in place. We don't have martial law yet.
Paranoid, tigger. Just avoid contact, and all will be fine.
Not scared. Not bothered. If this evil virus gets me, I will be mighty miffed. But what will be etc.
yes I don't want to pop to the shops but I will have to :(
I just have, kept my distance from others in the street (there weren't many). It s actually being in the shops that can be worrying - if they look crowded, maybe come back later.

I just wanted to get some fresh fruit. Got frozen veg but could do with some fruit and a loaf of bread.
I understand how you feel Tiggs, I have been out, but I am being as careful as I can.
It's a 10-minute walk to our local supermarket, seeing hardly any other people on the way. We walk over there; if it's busy in the store we walk home and try again later. We're both in our 70s with no major health problems, so we just treat it as exercise.

I'll pop to the local shop tomorrow although its very small so may not have much in the way of fruit.
Just keep clean and keep your distance and you should be fine.

I work in our local shop, it was quiet today.
I walk to my local supermarket, but will this be possible in total lockdown? Very worrying.
Yes. You will be allowed to go out to shop.
Stand 2m behind the person in front of you in the queue and if you see anyone you know, do the same. And pay by card Tigger - cash has become less acceptable over the weekend.

Wash your hands the minute you get home and again after unpacking the goods. Youll be fine and feel better for the walk.
A bit of fresh air may do both you of some good.
If you don't have them already, get some face masks and wear them all the time you're out. Obviously don't touch anybody, pay by contactless if you can, get some hand sanitiser and wash thoroughly when you return.

Thanks everyone. Been feeling a bit tearful about everything and seeing all the horrible scenes filmed at supermarkets recently is quite disturbing. Makes me not want to go out.
It does make you feel tearful all this.
Tigger, maybe just go for a little walk. No need to go to the shops.

Luckily I stayed up till 12am one day last week and managed to get a Tesco delivery for 9th April. Adding stuff to it as I remember. Its just the fresh stuff that I could do with now. I've ordered some tinned fruit in juice which will suffice for a bit.
