I Need Two Pieces Of Advice Please.

1. How do I get onto the top bunk bed on a ferry and at the same time retain my dignity because the queasy companion lying on the bottom bunk bed says he can't close his eyes or he will be sick.....believe that one if you will but I dare not risk it.....

2. Just how the hell do I get down from the top bunk.......forget dignity....I am past caring......I just can't seem to bend in the right places to get my feet onto the ladder and the now miraculously recovered companion is taking great pleasure in trying to help....when he's not laughing....
So far I have pushed off from the wall with my hands and rolled sideways into his arms...but I don't think his back will take very much of that....even if he does seem to enjoy it...... :-(

Get him to give you a bunk up!!! Where you get on his back and reach for the top bunk. You have to remember to keep your balance or things will get wobbly. And the same getting down, you get your legs around his shoulders and and............hope for the best!

Thank you for all your advice......and concern for my predicament....
Gentleman or not....he is not going on top if I have to sleep standing up...
PJs?...Nope......not even for the sake of dignity.....
He hasn't hidden the ladder......it's more fun for him watching me with the ladder I think...
It's a solid base and there isn't enough room between it and the roof for me to sit up.....so it has to be done in a rolling position.....and then, because it's narrow, I stick out from the bed from my waist which makes my feet too far from the ladder...but, in this position, I can switch on the bathroom light with my big toe....
I can't get on his shoulders because his head is touching the roof as it is.....he's a bit tall....I like tall men but there are times when a short man comes in handy....
