I'm watching the X Factor for the first time in this series.

Are they serious about these guys?

They are absolutely rubbish. How many times can the judges try to build up the show by telling these people they are wonderful when ...

(1) they are rubbish

(2) nobody will buy their CDs, and they will vanish into obscurity

(3) nobody is going to pay £60 to see them sing live.

This guy at the moment can't even hold a note. He is terrible.

You are a real talent, says Louis.

Brilliant, says Gary.

LOL, LOL, LOL ... !!
Yep jj, crap.
I was just thinking the same but OH thinks he is good. My little girl thought he sounded like a dog getting kicked LOL.
I can't believe that I have actually switched on for a little look! Typically it's an Ad break.....

I watch the auditions where the freaks, deluded and the best friends (who wallop one another) appear, when it gets more serious I lose interest.
(1) they are rubbish

Some, yes, but not all. Ella is outstanding!

(2) nobody will buy their CDs, and they will vanish into obscurity

Yes they will, and some will, yes.

(3) nobody is going to pay £60 to see them sing live.

The X Factor live tours always sell out.

"This guy at the moment can't even hold a note. He is terrible."

James Arthur, if that's who you're referring to, will be in the final three, without a doubt.

Each to their own, I suppose.... :-)

the dreadful standard of this bunch explains why out of a million plus original applicants (10 series @100,000 applicants?) they have produced ... maybe five successful artists?

I think if I was given a million people, I could find five good singers.

This girl now absolutely can not sing.
I have no idea who the girl is at the moment but she is pretty dreadful (to my ear) and she has a mouth like a sink plunger which is seriously distracting.....
Ella saves the day.
really that james arthur should re-name himself j.arthur..the lot of them are awful..the series is awful..its outdated..its time for a change....of channels.......

Blue ...

I'm not talking about the X Factor tour. I'm talking about that guy ... on his own ... at a concert venue ... selling tickets.

Nooooooo !!!
She was average compared to what she's done previously
Well, I'm guessing that Ella is the 'sink plunger', if she's the best then the rest must be truly awful....
Agree with that, stokey. Show is well past it's sell by date imo.

Did I fall asleep and wake up in the middle of a dodgy karaoke programme?
i saw better acts years ago tonyav in the workingmens clubs..
just woke up, fell asleep after switching off from a 3 hour Bing Bang(*) session and several bacardi and cokes, x factor was on when i've just woken up, guess it's good for insomnia, not quite what simon cowell hoped for i guess.

that's The Big Bang Theory season 5 dvd box set incase anyone else thinks otherwise, bazinga
Nom, absolutely!

JJ, I think you'd be surprised...
Mass, I do tend to agree with your comment, although it was still an excellent performance. I'm still not tired of watching her version of Cher's 'Believe'. Now *that* was something else!
Bluestone, she does put her own spin on songs and is generally (this year) the best of a pretty bad bunch.
James Arthur, you either get it or you don't.

Can't see it going for another series
when's the stripper on?

I'll settle for a Pole dancer though.
