Does anyone have a Fatboy Original ? If so, would you perform a small experiment for me please! Is it possible to mould Fatboy into a 90 degree angle lengthwise, i.e. the way you would "fold" it if you were to place it as temporary padding on a wooden settee? Thanks!

Just passing through putting my coffee cup in the sink. slumdog was very strange and had it not been for all the hype I would not have bothered watching it, but the ending was good! I found it very confusing! Back to my bed with Stephen King this time!jno my friend had the same problem with her oven until Mr N went and adjusted the clock and then that worked aswell!!

*kit adjusts her wristwatch in the hope of getting her life up and running*
goodness me, neti, Mr N isn't moonlighting in Essex as a handyman called Oscar, is he? Maybe 'fix the clock' is in a book of household tips that I haven't read.
Good morning peeps.just passing through.is this the one you want kip.yo this is the site.

Oi! That site was for me, Robinia! Ha ha ha ha ha, poor George, the things we do to him here... no wonder Neti can't get him repaired under the warranty. Thanks a whole bunch Vinny, I'll have so much fun with that site.

Next question: How d'you post a slideshow (pps file) on here? My sister emailed me a marvellous one I'd like y'all to see. I know we've had this discussion before and I remember even having an answer to it myself ha ha... but hey that was a long time ago! I think I said something about uploading it to your website if you've got one and copying the URL that's generated there, or converting the file at a file host but I also remember how many hours I spent trying to find a file host that would perform that operation, so if any of you have still got the address for the one I posted back then, could you post it here please - thanks.

Okay, must eat, and then off to my hairdresser, who works at home. She's got one of those shampooing chairs in her bathroom...!
we have moved back into the kitchen but there are still a few bugs... the leaky pipe, the flooding from the washing machine (apparently it has kinky hose, oooh-er matron), the lack of hot water... so Oscar will be back tomorrow. If there are any problems still unsolved I will post them here for Mr Neti's attention. New floor in about two weeks, just before I head for the south seas.
oh poop, instead of the 'cloth for the job' I've just cleaned the bathroom with me flannel.....tut....I meant to use Vinny's....

try paying homage to the kitchen god jno

erm, I meant outside!!

oh heck....

good morning, fairy Merryweather floating by....

....tut, no Sleeping Beauties in here, just snoring old boots....
brace tharself Vincent
thar be a mass exodus, ooooh arrrr....

Only 237 influential residents? (and one under the influence, heee) I'll have to do sommink about that.....I'm on my way, where's me pipe?

Good day biddies - have been chatting on msn - sorry.

Yes, Mr N would do very well working in England, he has a good reputation. It may even come to that! Can you see me living in England???

You been to the hospital lately Robi there are reports of a ghost in Derby hospital, but methinks it's just you gliding in and out, tell them when you are going there for heaven's sake, or eat more!!
Question Author
Afternoon, biddies.

Oh noo Robinia, that article: "[Devon] has an array of good pubs" - you shouldn't have told him! Now we'll never see him again! But I'm pleased to see (headlines in right-hand column) that Angelina Jolie puts her clothes on wrong way round - I'll refer to that, next time I've done it.

Had an email from my half-sister in Singapore, she's going to the Chingay Parade, have you ever seen it jno? (As your sister lives/lived there too.)

I've adjusted our Biddy Clock, so by my accounts we should all be normal by now - or not

lol@ Neti and the ghost ha ha. I have... not seen but felt... not ghosts but energies... at a hospital were I worked. I needed a desk or whatever and was directed to the room in the basement were furniture was stored for future use. When I got there I just couldn't bring myself to entering, I literally stood on the threshold and looked at the furniture but I just couldn't do it. Had to return upstairs again and ask for assistance, and I was so surprised at my own behaviour. When I told my work mates about it, I was informed that this room had previously served as the hospital morgue... / Neti tell us more for Pete's sake - when how why would you be returning to England?

The slideshow my sis emailed me, I found a YouTube clip on the same subject: click watch in high quality The ship that appears at 3.13: It says in my slideshow there are passengers on it - look closely!
Probably not actually returning to England but things are very expensive here, and if there's no work, we can't afford to stay here., and if the council take our land, the house will be worthless. Don't want to think about it.
Question Author
Oh. Do a Scarlett, Neti - think about it tomorrow.

Dr Phil ironically calls that "the Scarlett O'Hara School of Management", but it comes in handy at times!

hahaha, the phantom of the operation.... Tell them when I'm going neti? Trust me, they're on red alert when I have an appointment, they know I'll be huffing & sighing if I'm over my appt time by more that 3 mins (it was 40 mins last time). I've only been to that hospital once, I normally go to a nearer one, but it's all moving over there shortly so I'll no doubt be floating around at some point in the future. It's very annoying & totally ridiculous that they're moving the hospital that is central, close to town, buses, train station etc to an out of the way location on the posh side....grrrr. So when the Ponsonby-Smythes have been clouted by low flying Krug corks they'll be able to stagger down their leafy lanes to A&E, while we, on our cobbles, bleed to death from corned beef can cuts as we wait for the next horse 'n cart going that way. I'm not bitter...lol

You are all so talented on here ! makes my day reading everything and looking at all your links .Why not sell the council your house with the land neti and then at least you'll get your money back .You'll be first in line for Primark when they have their sales if you move back to England ! No ,it's not funny this recession and I'm particularly not amused as I say to anyone who will listen : I was born in a Recession ,I don't want to die in one !!
Sorry Dolly they don't want the house, they want to "take" the land, they are offering 10 a metre at present for other places - will never get the right price, it was my mother's old home and I love it. They tried in 1991 and a judge said no one can ever turn it into a public park or road, so let's hope they abide by this. With that amount of money we couldn't even afford the airfare back to Blighty let alone another home. At present it's worth about 325,000 but worthless without the land. End of.

I did like that email you sent Dolly it really reminded me of days when we were so much simpler, or at least life was!! bring it back, but must have internet and washing/drying machines and s/pool, then I'll be happy. Hear that it is very very hot in Oz at mo!!

Poor Neti. I remember how distraught I was just being evacuated from my own place during the renovations a couple of years ago - even knowing I'd soon be able to return. What you're up against is so much worse. Have you made any investigations as to whether there are cases similar to yours, so that you might collaborate with other families against the council? It's funny, you'd think a court decision would protect you, I don't really understand how it can be questioned?
