Sounds like a good day planned Boaty, enjoy!!

Send some wet and misty this way (but not too much), I'll swap for some hot and dry ;-)

Had a look at the photos you sent, beautiful garden.

Afternoon oz. I wish I could mate!

It is a beautiful place, but it's a happy place, but with a serenity and feeling of peace everywhere. The staff and volunteers are very special people.

will give you a look around.
It's great that you have a facility like that close by.
Bit of a different story here, in the middle of nowhere.
But I'd never move to a large town or city, like the peace and quiet too much.
Hmmm, one day I may have to, hope not.

It's a lovely place to spend some time mate. It's at the top of Minchinhampton Common, the views in all directions are spectacular.

like these.
Aren't I the "armchair" tourist today.
You live in a beautiful area Boaty.
Thanks for the links, I never tire of checking out the motherland.
Question Author
It is indeed beautiful mate. there are spectacular views from many places within a few miles of here.

Very nice!

I'm going to disappear for a little while, left over roast chook in the fridge about to be re-birthed as a chicken, sweet corn and cheese quiche.
Needs to be cooked and have time to cool as it will be served with tropical and sub-tropical fruit and salads. Too hot for much else.
Must admit I enjoy cooking winter meals, but don't enjoy eating them during summer ;-)

That's the one where I can watch the deer on the hillside from my garden.

Enjoy mate. ;o}
Morning all ! Can't sleep, so decided to have a very early cup of tea !

More 'horrible weather forecast for today, so no walkies again today !

Morning mikey. Yup, pretty miserable isn't it.

As you've probably noticed, I've given oz an armchair tour of my locality. :o}
Looks smashing Boaty ! I love that part of the world. I must make an effort to come to see you at the canal sometime early in 2016. This last few months have been very hectic here !
Question Author
It is indeed beautiful mikey. Let me know and I will be your tour guide. :o}

It will be good to meet
. From your part of the world the easiest place to meet is the canal at Saul Junction. It's well signposted.
Morning waterman/ everyone!
Ooh, a Christmassy feel for you then today waterman, Enjoy!
I've been up early, couldn't sleep like Mikey, so decided to mix my Christmas cake, just missing the eggs so will have to wait for the corner shop to open then just mix them in last. I've been listening to some lovely old songs from Rod .. such as .. As time goes by/ Smile/ It had to be you .. that kind of thing ... while mixing my cake !

Morning Lina. xxx I woke up at three and couldn't get off again. I started planning where to put everything in the kitchen when they come to rip the kitchen out and install a new one. That's at the end of February, but I can't leave it to the last minute.
After a coffee of course waterman?.... I woke about 4.00am & thought.. right ... coffee then that Christmas cake is being made! It'll be worth it in the end waterman, your new kitchen. I reckon friends will be inviting you left & right to feed you till it's sorted! ;0)
Question Author
Indeed Lina. I know some that will invite me, well, I hope they will! :o} It's going to take two weeks, but they will put everything back so that I can use the kitchen over the weekend in the middle. The laundry will build up, so I can get that done over that weekend.

The council want to put an over bath shower in too. They'll have a job, I haven't got a bath! :o} I have a wet floor shower room.
Question Author
I'm on the second coffee now. In my new mug of course! :o}
Oh you'll survive! ;0) .... Now I'd love a wet room! I have a corner shower with sliding doors & it's so very awkward to clean! A wet room would be fantastic!
Question Author
It is indeed much easier to keep clean. Takes about 5 minutes when I've finished showering to wipe everything dry. I wouldn't want a bath again. Mind you; Vera and I used to enjoy a bath by candle light while we demolished a bottle of wine or two.
LOL!
