anyway to encourage growth?

Mine grows ridiculously quick! I mean, we're not talking 'Cousin It' or anything, but it's at least an inch per month.

Sea kelp tablets! I took them for a few months and no-one could believe the length my hair grew to and also how quickly it grew!
