How nice she looks in simple dresses which show her good figure. Why does she spoil it all in her wedding outfits.

bit of rain overnight but it's supposed to brighten up again. Lord, this incessant 20-degree heat... the drums, the drums...

Hope you had a good birthday woofy!

Yes, lovely photo Lottie thanks...you all look very relaxed & that's a lovely simple dress & flowers that the bride has.

oooh, it's so humid & heavy again, we had a shower yesterday but I wish we could have a good storm and get it over with. I spent all day with a blinding headache & I don't want it back, I feel like a limp lettuce today.

Looks like another hot muggy one .I just flopped about in the garden yesterday and then flopped about in front of the tele.

Good morning folk. My intrigue as to jno's OH has grown. Invites to the royal wedding, German TV interview??

Anyway, last night I had the worse nightmares ever known and they continued when I woke up. I kept drifting back to sleep and they just continued. I really think I ought to contact the Hammer House of Horrors - a film of last night's nighmares would beat every other horror film ever!! Human bones in sacks with blood and ghosts emerging from them!! etc. etc................................

As for that wretched hospital appointment, I kept going over and over what the doc. said and getting more and more bloomin' annoyed. I wanted to discuss my feet and the days I have when I just hurt all over, but she wanted to talk about my border line osteoporosis and the risk of fractures and my weight. Apparently I have an 11% chance of having a fracture in the next 10 years. Now she wants me to lose 2 stone which will put me at a weight that I was in my 30's.

I had told her that if I bend my ankles a great deal I then cannot walk for days, so she suggests I cycle - well if I cycle I bend my ankles and my hips collapse!! Then she says I should do load bearing exercises to strengthen my bones - but ones that don't involve using my feet - like lifting weights. How is lifting weights going to help my feet?? She also suggests swimming, which I dislike, but how is that loadbearing?

I tried to ask her about the days I have when everything hurts and I feel flu like and she said she had no idea why!!! She said my rheumatoid factor was high but she wasn't concerned about it.

Anyway, at least she is organising an MRI scan on my feet.

What a bloomin' waste of my time.

Sorry to offload and rant!!!

Hope Mr Woof is feeling better and that all biddies are coping with the heat.

I am meeting friend for lunch, doing some errands in town and then coming home to lift some weights!!!
Question Author
Like buses, you don't get biddies for hours and then they all turn up together!!

xxxxxxxxxxx
If these rheumatologists had RA and OA then they would know that doing all that she has suggested is nigh on impossible !
I couldn't ride a bike to save my life these days or lift heavy weights .Lugging shopping is bad enough .I like swimming and would do it but we have no pool :(
The flu like feeling is high rheumatoid factor .Which can go up and down like a yoyo.
All the rheumatologists I've seen have been no help whatsoever .
If there were any cures for these conditions people would be queuing round the block .
I must go .xx

Hi Shaney,

Thanks for confirming that the high RA factor gives the flu like symptoms, I suspected it. But the bloomin doctor didn't help at all. You are more helpful.

We have no pool either. She suggested a private pool - OK for her, but at £16.00 per hour I really don't think so!!

You are right, they have no idea about how we feel or what we are capable of. I am quite angry really.

All I want is some help with my feet so I can flippin' walk properly without pain. She has said that if the MRI might pinpoint areas which would benefit from steroid injections!!
Question Author
Robi, have been reading about fibromyalgia at length and I seem to fit all the symptoms. Is there a blood test which will confirm it?

I sound like a real hypochondriac. It was something I wanted to ask the doc about yesterday, but she had her own agenda and I forgot.
£16 a hour for a pool, neti smirks...................

Neti, The nearest public swimming pool is 15 miles away and only costs £2.50, which is fair dos. If I could find 5 other people to swim with me then £16.00 wouldn't be too bad for a luxury heated pool, but I don't know anyone who would like to swim. Sad aren't I!!

Stop gloating!!!!
Overcast but sweltering. have been to check the land grab, and they are doing a "special plan" which means nothing as yet. Keep fingerrs and everything crossed for us, how on earth they think they can take out land is beyond me, it's surrounded by other houses and gardens (not close close ). Makes me soooo mad!!!

We don't have any public swiming pools here which is a shame. There is local covered one run by the council but you have to make appointments. maybe I'm thinking of lidos.

Off to do my ironing!

email back Neti
email back at yer lottie, oh you and I could get into so much trouble having fun!!!!
Question Author
Another email back to you Neti :o))
Question Author
email tennis!!!!
We do have two pools here actually .But one is exclusively for the swimming clubs and schools and if you want to swim there you have to go at the crack of dawn and I wouldn't even dip my toe in the other one for fear of catching something .
There's a nice one at Lowestoft where I used to go with my brother for a while but it's such a trek .
There's always the sea I suppose :)
But I don't fancy stripping off on the beach under a towel at my age !

Had hair done .Look a bit more respectable now .Very ,very ,hot here .
Question Author
Sweltering isn't it Shaney. Not nice at all. We actually had a bit of rain this morning which was nice, but now it is just hot, hot, hot!!!
