i have written a letter to my friend in Australia. She is getting on in years and at 92 or so must be feeling rather put out that she still hasn't had her vaccinations yet. Can't understand this at all, but that's their system and it seems many are in the same boat.
I wonder if we will get our booster jabs soon, or will they be necessary?
Hi Emmie, hopefully the weather will behave for you.
The days are slowly becoming longer and warmer down under.
I'm a happy camper:-)

Yes, our vaccination roll out is "up $#!+ creek without a paddle"

that is what she indicated last time i spoke with her - i am worried about her as i haven't heard a word for quite a long time. which is most unusual as she usually phones me a couple of times a month.
Ring her, it's 2:35 pm where I am.
If she's in WA it's probably not much past midday.
Question Author
i know, but the cost, i haven't a call package for overseas, it's why i have dropped her a letter. Her son has a deal where she can make overseas calls for nowt. I don't know what kind of deal but she as i mentioned phones me quite regularly. But hasn't done for over a month. I hoped her daughter would contact me by e mail if there was something wrong.
Lock down rules may have prevented her son from visiting and handing his phone over.
Hopefully if anything goes belly up they'll inform.
Fingers crossed:-)
Question Author
her daughter would likely drop me a line or even phone me if her mum had been ill or passed away.
