Hi everyone - a very Happy New Year to all my AB friends x
Just got in from a great night out, a 60s/70s disco + buffet at our local Conservative Club - music was just up our street and we danced until my poor old knees could take no more and almost hoarse from singing!
How did you see the New Year in?

Hi you old gadabout! I saw the new year in by trying to crochet evenly around a knitted square. Beat that!

Most people around here are likely to answer 'by sitting in front of my computer and posting on AB'; otherwise we wouldn't be here!

I've been doing the aforementioned activity while watching Jools Holland's Hootenanny and consuming strong beer. When the hootenanny finishes soon, I'll be starting on the haggis, neeps and tatties (plus, of course, the obligatory 'wee dram') .

Thanks Chris and Gness x We've only just arrived home and the first thing we did was to put the kettle on for a cuppa (oldies that we are!) we always do this no matter how much else we have drunk during our evenings out! Popped up to my office to wish you all a Happy 2013. Where is everyone? Still out celebrating?

Don't bother, Ann.

I've just spent the past few minutes reading through MortalCoil's posts. None of them make any sense (and another moderator has already removed his only question). He only joined a short while ago and, as he clearly seems to fit into the definition of 'troll', I've just clicked on the 'ban' button.

They say that 'there's no rest for the wicked'; that certainly seems to include AB's moderators!
