Actually, a few studies have shown the Sun shrinks and expands over an 11 year cycle... but even that expansion/contraction is very small... on the average of about 5 feet per hour... negligible given the size of the orb.

Our sun has been shown to be quite stable and should remain so for the next several billion years (good... I can take a nap and have one less thing to worry about)...
