If the Continental United States was scaled down to fit on a Football field, How thick would the Troposphere be?

The US is about 2,500 miles across. If we take a football field as 100 yards ( I'm assuming you're in America and we're talking American football here)

that's a scaling factor of 2500 x 1760 :100

or 44,000:1

The troposphere is between 16-18 km thick so I make that about 0.36 metres or about 12"
Surely it'd be the same as it always is?

(But you're probably talking about relative sizes) ... lol
