Excellent question and an excellent link, jake-the-peg.

Take three stars - each.

Mib-thingy-wotsit's (how DO you pronounce that name?) link worked fine for me, and leads to a much higher quality representation of the same chart.
Good Fun! First link worked for me too. But surely the listings ending in 'ine' cannot be elements?
Why not? Fluorine, chlorine, bromine, Iodine and astatine are bona fide elements.
rojash, Am I bein too see-we-yus? No! Im bein val-we val-we see-we-yus! Maybe, just maybe, a wee bit too see-we-yus. The point is to keep em guessin. I dont much care for people, simply, taking my word for it; (bein as Im wrong about half the time anyway). My primary goal is to stimulate thought and promote understanding, lol.

Hey, You asked for it! Thanx 4 askin, all the same.
shammydodger - No, they're not elements, since they are compounds of more than one material.
Oops, sorry shammydodger, mixing my 'ine' with my 'in' and 'ide' (I really mustn't rush these replies!)

if you want to impress at parties, have you ever thought of learning the "elements "song by Tom Lehrer, or just looking up a copy of it. it's very good for a laugh, i promise.

try

sorry about last post it should read
