Solar Eclipse Today Visible From U.k.

There is a solar eclipse planned for today which may be seen from here in the U.K. peaking at 11:04 only partial .
But if you are in Canada you will have a much better spectacle starting a bit earlier over lake superior

Dig out your eclipse glasses or you won’t notice anything at all. I’ve got mine ready. Checked for scratches and all.

Not as exciting as a total, but interesting anyway.

West Yorkshire, 11.00 a.m. Saw it briefly, and didn't need special glasses. I watched its reflection in my car's back window, when it was parked on our drive.

Managed to view it via a pinhole in a sheet of card, projected onto paper, before clouds obscured everything. The "missing" bit of the Sun was clearly visible at the bottom of the (inverted) image. Easy to prove it was the image and not an artifact of the hole in the card by rotating the card. The image stayed the same.
