Its not an eek moment - there is no such thing as an eek moment!!
Its a surprise that's all and perhaps governments need to start monitoring the wild animals in captivity better!
that told you Mikey no more EEKing lol

"The terrified woman explained that the 5ft 5in (1.6m) snake had wrapped itself around her and bitten her nose"

Islay.........for me this most certainly is an EEEEK ! moment.
Well I could think of actual words to describe it but if you want to use a silly word then go ahead!
call for sqad !

well my dears - boa constrictors are the host for a human disease !
eeek ! has it died out yet ?

either pythons or boa constrictors different species
to catch them
a) find a python hole
b) persuade a smallish man to go up to his belly button in the hole
c) python bites man
d) frenz drag man out and clunk ! you knock out the python and release the man
e) one caught python which you can sell

so one Sarf American man tuned up with streaky calcification on X ray in his muscles ( lower limb ++) in a hospital in London - and the streaks turned out to be calcified larvae ( creepy crawly things) in the muscles - (not myiasis that is something else) - from python hunting. - I think they must have biopsied one

the larvae couldnt complete their life cycle so just sort of turned over and died - a bit like cysticercosis ( pig worm but man gets in the way)

uuuuuuuuuugh!

( X ray quiz as a student 1975)
I agree that EEK is a stupid word.

Ummm....lighten up a bit....this is Chatterbank for goodness sake.
Mikey, I'd call that an eek moment, having your nose bitten and held on to by a boa!
There's nothing wrong with me. I just don't like the word.
It's a bit 'girlie' Mikey.
O god I would go eek if bitten by a boa
( and possibly wirte a song about it - )

"dont get bitten by a boa mrs Birtles"
you dunno what lies that way
a straight on road turns curly wurly woo
yeah it do - curly wurly woo.....

OK I ned some help on that one .....

getbitten on the nose by a boa - for fear of the diseases I might get
( eek! eek !!)
I don't need to lighten up - Eeek is a stupid word used by those with little imagination or knowledge of the English language!!
LOL!
yeah Mikey you great girl !

yeah and why didnt the hello-girl on the switch say

Ha if it has latched onto your face - how are you making this call ?

Good one ! as for the larva story - Ha ! ........ Ha! ( dubbl ha!)
eek mikey you seem to have roused a bit of girlie ire wiv your eek story
so early in the week end as well

Am I bovvered PP ?
I think Mikey was joking with the use of 'eeeek'.
I'm sure he wouldn't actually say 'eeeek' while standing on a chair looking at a woman whose face was wrapped around by a massive snake.
Eek is a word in the English language so Mikey can use it freely. But I am sure he 'll find other words of similar meaning. He will need lots of words to cover the vast amount of of animals that freak him out.

:-)

EEK islay has spoke
EEK take heed Mikey
EEK I need to have a lie down ...I'm all EEKED out!
I think he might also be echoing our lovely Minty, who does say 'eek' a bit. Again, I think it's just a bit of fun.
