Really good fun - buzzy and friendly and generally a nice place to be.

I now know which bike I want to have a decent test ride on - interestingly it's neither of the two original suspects I went specifically to kick the tyres of, both of which were chronically uncomfortable for someone of my height/size/whatever.

So, if the test ride is good, ... please Santa can I have a Kawasaki Z1000SX tourer ...

PS - even in 2014 the Bike business doesn't quite 'get' the fact that women ride bikes too - it must be the only surviving business to employ "dolly birds in tiny bikini tops" to encourage the punters - I thought you couldn't do that these days - I didn't know where to look ....

Yeah, those half dressed birds distract our eyes from enjoying looking at the bikes !.

Missed him Tony - although I did hear someone say that his visit was nicely informal & not too surrounded by security heavies.
Quite sure you did Dave!
///I didn't know where to look .... ////

Forget the bikes.....

Looks like daughter's
He then went to some place in Small Heath and the Villa park to the match, Dave. He say's that half of Brum will hate him now !.
Dig the curves on that guzzi!
I didn't know where not to look!
Love the bike, Dave....same colour as my kitchen.....x
Do you know where in Small Heath Tony?
Hang on Daisy, I'll try and find out.
I must say, I really dont like the look or the sound of these new high revving machines, I like the more traditional look and sound of the older bike, mind you a new Harley would certainly be considered.

I think new bikes tick over faster than the old bikes were at full throttle, I remember riding an AJS 650 many moons ago at 70 MPH you could still count the strokes of the engine, they used to reckon 1 beat per lamp post. Kicking it over was a terrifying experience though.
Great fun when they kicked back, RATTER !.
Lol Tony, exactly! It had about a meter long leg breaking stroke!
Yep, a kick back could throw you over the shed roof or break your leg.
Actually it was a single cylinder 500cc the 650 belonged to my father
lol yes Tony and with it being 500cc on one cylinder, that shed roof could be down the end of the street.
Are the BMWs not comfortable Dave?
My dad used to have a Norton Dominator when I was a kid, great bike, used to stand at the top of the road and wait for him to come home from work, he would sit me on the petrol tank and ride home.
