Driving in unfamiliar territory today and on approaching a roundabout I got in the wrong lane. (Very large roundabout with traffic lights) When the lights changed I checked my mirrors and decided if I put my foot down I could change lanes. That was until a motorist decided to blast me with his lights and horn. I put my hand up to say sorry and thought no more of it. I must add at this point if I had stayed in my original lane I would have had to go on the motorway.Totally wrong direction that I was heading for. I digress, Next set of traffic lights the said motorist jumps out of his car and is running toward me (thank you mirrors) I saw him coming and quickly locked my self in. He battered my window, kicked my car and called me a lot of names. Then the lights changed. I pulled away and thought would he have done this if I was a 20 stone man. I don't half miss Mic in these situations.

That's awful, jeza. What an idiot. I would love to know how perfect his driving is all the time. He may well do it to the wrong person next time. Hope you are ok xx
Bless ya Jeza....I have been tail gated in the past, for adhering to the speed limits.
Never ever a woman, always a 'man'.
I spoke to the police, and they advised to not respond, just carry on driving legally.
honestly, some people are such wangs.
Absolutely no excuse for his behaviour. What a lout!
No Jeza I doubt very much that he would have done that if you were a bloke, tell ya what if it had been me when I saw him in the mirror running up to the car I would have been out waiting for him !.
I don't suppose that you got his reg so you could report him to the cops did you ?.
And by the way it's very easy to get into the wrong lane at a roundabout your unfamiliar with, many have done that me included.

The man was 40 ish, and that's about all I saw. He did frighten me though.
I would have been terrified, hope he didn't upset you too much. bet he thinks he's 'hard' picking on a lone female, he should be ashamed.
Has he damaged your car with that kick, Jeza ?.
Jeza....let's hope it was the same man who did it to Dara O'Briain til he stepped out of his car.....

This is totally wrong and I would never suggest you do it and neither would I do it in a million years......but I have heard of terrible, ruthless women who carry an innocent but very pepperminty breath spray in the side of their door.
Should a madman attack the car and make shocking threats which they certainly heard and were left in fear for their lives they would wind down the window a little and entice the man to the window...they don't mention that bit....the man came to make more threats....and spray them with the breath freshener...just enough to get away while the thug wiped his eyes. Well a good bit to be sure.....

Now those women may be told they could blind or damage someone but they don't...in this situation...care.

Jezza...I detest road rage......any type of driving anger. It's when we should be calm, forgiving and in control...hope you are okay......I hated the long dark night drives from hospital....x

Thanks for your sympathies. I must say I think I'm a courteous driver, I would not dream of doing what this man did. We all make mistakes.
i had the same problem i got in the wrong lane at a roundabout in manchester a few years back, the driver behind got out and was shouting and being abusive at my window, little did he know that stokemaveric was following 2 cars behind,he soon shot back in his car when stokie got out too and told him to get back in his car or else he would put him in...dont worry jeza we all do it...if you want to take it further im sure there would be cameras on a roundabout the very action of him kicking your car constitutes criminal damage if he has marked it...what an idiot...
I saw a lorry driver recently doing the exact same thing. I felt so sorry for the woman involved and I just couldn't believe the venom he showed. Luckily the lights changed and she got away. But it must have been such a shock for her.
It's horrible driving places you don't know. I'm lucky, my car is ginormous and if I am driving somewhere unfamiliar then you can be sure I am not happy about having to do so - big car plus bad mood are a fab combination for 'assertive' driving. Have a drink and a good nights sleep (the world is full of arses).

There is a dent in the door Tony, but no crease if you know what I mean so it should push out, I hope.

Gness ♥
Gawd, Jeza, that is awful, I wonder if it was recorded on cctv.
Saver's do a good deal on breath mint sprays, Jeza....just saying.....☻
Road rage nice name for an ABs
If it's a round dent it should be easy to remove, Jeza. those chipsaway type guys can usually do that.
