Yesterday, I tried to get a pic of the screen at the railway station which said that if people wanted to get to station X, they should go by another route, because

I should have added, 'Is there really cannibalism at the seaside?'
Sloppy lazy people, I wouldn't go into a place that couldn't be bothered to print the right signs. Makes the mind boggle though!

A sad reflection on the education system.
It's the signwriters' fault really though rather than the premises if they are printed. No dog's is funny.
Good point, Prudie, signwriters might be reprimanded if they change the customers' spelling!
Some do it to gain attention.
There was one advertising Cofffee and Tea. I stared it for a bit before it twigged.

I think that all of us have mental blocks with some part of our language, punctuation of speeling. But I have to admit to loving spell-check.

My Father had a "Beware of the Dog's" sign on the gate for years before anyone said any thing. It wasn't until a girlfriend of mine said "dog's what?" that we ever thought about it, he still didn't take it down until the gate was changed though.
Misuse of the apostrophe ...gggrrrr !!
