Professor Arthur and five of his friends (Detective Larry, Madame Carolyn, Queen Debbie, Dr Bryan and Lady Lisa) played Spade last Saturday, sitting around his dinning room table. The following Saturday, as they gathered around the table with the inevitable Spade game cards in the middle of the table, each tried to remember where he or she had been seated the previous week. During the course of the discussion, it was found that of the statements made by each player as to their perspective recollections, exactly two were untrue - they had forgotten completely the seating arrangement. From the information, determine from the one statement made by each person how each person was seated? Note: In all clues, right and left indicated to the immediate right and left of that person.
1. Lady Lisa recalled that Dr. Bryan was on her right.
2. Dr Bryan was positive that Queen Debbie was on his right.
3. Detective Larry remembered distinctly that Madame Carolyn was on his left.
4. Madame Carolyn was sure Professor Arthur had been to her right.
5. Queen Debbie recalled being seated to the right of Lady Lisa.
6. Professor Arthur's recollection was that he was to the left of Detective Larry.

(3) is contradicted by both (4) & (6) & therefore (3) must be wrong & (4) & (6) correct.

(1) is contradicted by (5) so following the above, one of them must be correct.

However if (5) is correct then (1) must be wrong BUT also (2) must also be wrong & this cannot happen (3 wrong clues).

Therefore (3) & (5) are the wrong clues.

So clockwise from Arthur :

Arthur, Carolyn, Debbie, Bryan, Lisa, Larry - I think !!
